Went with my three kids aged between 3 and 11. They enjoyed exploring the oasis and the desert around, sitting around the campfire playing card games, resting in the hammock, drinking plenty of tea, riding the camels, and having delicious dinner and breakfast. The sky were clear with little light from the very few surrounding villages, so was able to explain them how to identifies different stars. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The place is very clean.
It was our second visit to this great Khan. This time we took the mud cabin, which was basic but comfortable for a family of 4. Dinner at the main Bedouin tent was very tasty, and there is non-stop coffee and tea served at a central public campfire. There are no toilets or shower at the cabins, but the public showers are very clean and well equipped. Place is quiet and laidback, and conveniently located close to some very nice desert walking trails. Desert sky at night is clear and beautiful and perfect for watching stars. Highly recommended.
We were a group of 20 people who were staying together. The place is clean and decorated in the desert breeze. The evening and morning meals are very tasty and are served in a decorated dining room. The bathrooms and showers are clean and polished. The staff is kind and helpful to assist with any request.
It was the second time I had a chance to spend a night in the desert (after staying in yourts in Uzbekistan), an dit was amazing. I loved the ambiance and the design of the place, it really feels like you are in a 'caravansérail'. The food was very good, the staff helpful, the 2 fires with tea and coffee all night and day were very interesting, the tea was tasty, the walks around the khan were beautiful... We could stay for only a short night, but I would dove to come back! It was a Greta night in the desert, making you feel you are part of a caravan a few centuries ago... PS: toilets and showers were very clean and confortable :)
Just an amazing place. Authentic desert experience, but with modern comforts. We stayed for 3 days, which apparently is unusual. It's best to get out during the mid-day (in summer) since it's hot and there is no air conditioning. We found some natural swimming holes in the desert to take the edge off the heat.
