Butterfly Farm is a restful haven for holidaymakers, or a cosy romantic retreat. Close to Shipwreck Coast and the Great Ocean Road attractions, including Childers Cove, the 12 Apostles, Bay of Islands, Peterborough, Port Campbell, Timboon Farmhouse Cheeses, the Otway Fly Tree Top Walk, Whale Watching and within easy driving distance to Port Fairy and Warrnambool. What began as a humble farmhouse is now a delightful homestead, full of character. Butterfly Farm has been a labour of love for us and you will enjoy your stay with us as much as we do at Butterfly Farm. Singles, couples, families and small groups are welcome. Verandahs surround Butterfly Farm and these are always a feature of Australian homes for just sitting, relaxing and watching the day go by. Delicious country style breakfast is included in the tariff and is served in a redgum kitchen looking across the garden from a bay window. Tea & coffee facilities together with orange juice and homemade cookies are provided. Butterfly Farm has 2 B&B areas and can sleep up to a total of 7 persons. B&B 1 offers privacy and a cosy retreat full of character. It has its own entrance, private lounge room, en-suite and the bedroom has a QS 4 poster bed and a single bed. There is also a leather fold out couch, the size of a double bed with an inner spring mattress, in the lounge room and there are large double doors that can separate the lounge room from the bedroom. This area can sleep up to 5 persons. B&B 2 offers space and the comforts of home. It has a QS bed and the bedroom has french doors onto a private veranda. It has a foyer, private bathroom and adjacent lounge room with an entertainment system. Can sleep up to 2 persons.

We visited Butterfly Farm on a Sunday and Monday and was treated like one of the family at all the times during the stay. Suite 1 provided a really great atmosphere to relax and spend time talking with privacy. Breakfasts were of a 6 star level and John's ice cubes were expertly prepared! We brought our own meals for this short stay preferring not to spend time travelling for dinners and Karyn made us welcome to use the kitchen facilities. Thanks. We would go back again any time.

A beautifully restored Edwardian home with comfortable bedroom and ensuite plus lovely veranda. Host Karen was friendly and helpful, providing local advice and a delicious breakfast. We were sorry we had only booked one night. A peaceful haven along the Great Ocean Road for an affordable price.

The Butterfly Farm is a beautiful, peaceful location. The hosts were very welcoming and very knowledgeable of the area. Breakfast was amazing as was everything about the homestead. The amenities were extremely clean and cosy. I would thoroughly recommend this B & B to everyone. Safe, secure and a delight to come back to after a long day sightseeing. Thank you Karen & John for creating an idyllic haven for travellers. It is certainly a credit to you both.

Lovely and friendly couple run this nice and quiet B&B near the Great Ocean Road in Australia. Highly recommended - great breakfast and really enjoyed our stay! Would absolutely stay here again! Country charm and off the beaten path - what is there NOT to like!

Well maintained beautiful character property. Karen the host met me on arrival. It was a cold night. She had turned on the electric blankets prior to my arrival, and pre heated the room, the heating in the room was on. I was not cold at all in the night. Fridge in the room with free water, juice and milk and two treats. Had a nice bath in the free standing tub. Bathroom had heat lamps and plenty of hot water for bath and shower. Bath filled quickly. In the morning, very nice English style breakfast cooked also cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit salad, toast served. Karen gave me a map with some extras stops and options I hadn’t thought about. Very nice stay, exactly as described. Very homely.

My husband and I stayed for a couple of days. Karen and John made us very welcome and made the best brekkies. We were only 15 minutes out of Port Campbell and Warnambool but were far enough away from crowds and it was lovely and peaceful. Will definitely come back for another stay in the future.

I have stayed a number of times with John and Karen at Butterfly Farm and have always enjoyed their hospitality. Very comfortable beds, and generous breakfast. There are a couple of very good country pubs close by as well.

Stayed at the charming B&B in route to the Great Ocean Road. The owners, Karen & John were so very welcoming. You definitely felt at home - spacious bedroom, bathroom and also use of the living rom/sitting area. Our hosts also prepared a Wonderful breakfast for us - eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruits plus coffee. Karen & John made sure we left with happy stomachs!! Also appreciated the map and suggestions on stops to make along the Great Ocean Road. Wonderful Hospitality!!!

We found this place to be ideal. I’m all about having a quiet place to stay. Karen was very accommodating. Making sure we were comfortable in our room, taking our breakfast order so we got what we wanted. This was perfect as I hate to waste food. She gave us a heads up to eat at Port Campbell Hotel and it was fantastic. All around great place to stay and great host.

We were so glad that we found Butterfly Farm when searching for somewhere to stay in the area. I rang to book and Karen was so helpful on the phone giving advice on things to do while we were in the area. Our stay there was great. John greeted us, showed us around and to our room. (Karen wasn't there) Nothing was too much trouble. The house is beautiful and so well restored, after living in an older style house for 20 years we appreciated every aspect of the home. Our room was comfortable and the next morning John cooked us a beautiful breakfast. We really enjoyed breakfast, chatting with John while we ate and sitting afterwards and talking to him. Sometimes you meet people you feel you know as they immediately make you feel comfortable, that is John! We really enjoyed our time here. It is great to have not only somewhere nice to stay but great hosts as well. We feel that is all part of the B&B experience. If you love that too you can't go past the hospitality of Butterfly Farm. Next trip up the Great Ocean Road we will definitely stay here again.
