We booked the room by telephone. When we got there the room was already occupied.... we received another one (bigger, but without balcony), but with a big window to the sea. Breakfast is good but no fruits or yogurt included (if you ask, you must pay); the bathroom is ok, but the towels are old. The curtain broke the day...

We stayed at Le Club from January 1st to 5th 2014, probably the busiest week of the year. Even though we knew prices for hotels in Punta del Este during this week are high, we didn’t have flexibility to move our dates. We ended up at Le Club as all the boutique hotels or B&B that we liked were already...

We were recommended the Posada by a friend who lives in La Barra........ A family run establishment, providing clean and comfortable accommodation, a great restaurant and our own private spot on the bustling beach. True to her word, it was exactly that! On arrival we were greeted by 3 very charming ladies who greeted us as if we were returning...

You have to change your mindset when traveling to Punta del Este. You will not find elegant resorts or large established brand hotels. There are many small hotels of various quality and location and though Jose Ignacio is the hot place with a fine hotel, Playa Vik, we like La Barra better. Choices however, are meager in La Barra but...

Do not expect anything fancy! This is a small and simple hotel, meant for those who want to stay away from Punta del Este chaos and enjoy sun raise and sun dawn and the beach. The restaurant is lovely and food is good. Personnel is nice and helpful. If you are on a romantic vacation, ask for room no.5 or...

This hotel is all about location and not much else. The staff isn't even that helpful nor friendly and make no effort whatsoever to communicate in English. On our first night there we realized that the blinds in our bathroom which faced the street and the hotel and restaurant across the road were completely see through at night! I approached...

We lucked out getting a room at this hotel the day before travelling to Punta del Este on the busiest week of the year. We ended up in a two bathroom, three room suite with a private deck looking out over the (very crowded) beach - which is a surfers paradise. The room was $700 a night, which is bit...

Loved this place, while I had a little trouble making the booking, probably due to my poor Spanish – I finally made it here (and short stint at other ghastly place). And what a nice surprise, they upgraded my room automatically – so had this gorgeous suite with a whole 6 windows looking out over the sea. The bed was...

a friend and i reserved a sea view room about a month in advance. a few days prior to check-in i received an email saying that the room they had booked for us was having electrical problems and that we could have a similar room with a garden view. this wasn't a big deal to me, but it does make...
