Le Grand Fougueyrat is under new ownership, and hence the glowing reviews below are somewhat out of date, but we were extremely pleased with our stay. The rooms were pleasant enough, with good facilities for those bringing (as we did) a young child. The real strengths are a very friendly welcome, a relaxing sense of rustic tranquility (despite being close...

We stayed for 3 nights in August after the Eymet tourist office rang Jocelyne and booked us in. Jocelyne made us feel welcome immediately and nothing was to much trouble. Jocelyne's cooking is amazing and the evening meals shared with a mixture of German, French and English guests were great, plenty of wine, food, chatting until late into the night....

We stayed at LGF in July, for just a few nights... and wished we had booked it for longer! As it happened, we were the only guests staying at the time, but we were made to feel so welcome by Jocelyn and Tim, it really didn't matter. The relaxed atmosphere was just perfect for us, and there was plenty to...

Jocelyne makes you feel very welcome and her cooking is fantastic. It's a lovely place to stay at, amongst the vineyards and sunflowers. The room size is adequate and from your room, you can walk out onto the pool area.

Four of us stayed two nights, which included bed and breakfast and we also chose two evening meals which were excellent. Joc. Is an excellent cook and hostess and nothing is too much trouble, she makes you feel so welcome and we will definitely return. We were very lucky to be able to fine accommodation with Joc. as her hotel...

We were on our way to Bergerac but, being quite late in the evening, we stopped off at Eymet to browse the Internet for a place to stay overnight. La Grand Fougueyrat popped up and it tooked quite an interesting option. We were not disappointed - this is what one always hopes for when travelling through France. The room had...

Now run by Jos with help from husband Tim LGF has been spruced up and is as wonderful as ever. With much more flexibility of dates and board i.e. b & b, half or full board available this lovely guest house should attract a wider variety of guests. Jos' cooking and welcoming personality make your stay so relaxing and enjoyable....

After reading some of the previous comments on Trip Advisor we didn't know quite what to expect when we arrived at Le Grand Fougueyrat knowing that it's no longer just a house party venue with lots of organised activities. Jocelyne now runs Le Grand Fougueyrat and she is the most charming host, nothing is too much trouble and her cooking...

We stayed with Tony and Sharon last August on their family week with our two children (8 and 10). A real relaxing break with great and plentiful food, wine and fun! Kids loved playing in the pool with the other kids who were there (even if it was a little cold for my liking!) and certainly enjoyed engaging in some...

Just returned from a week and a half at Le Grand Fougueyrat. Can't think of any negatives at all. Food was excellent quality, varied and delicious. Wine was plentiful and just as fine and delicious as the food. Company and hospitality was second to none. Activities were fun, and just enough. Weather was good too which made it one of...
