Had a lovely stay here last weekend for my 30th Birthday celebrations. We booked the bed, breakfast and evening meal package for a party of 11. The hotel staff were excellent, from the initial booking over a year ago, through organising menu choices and then finally our stay at the weekend. The rooms were lovely, with fresh milk available for...

Came here as a group of 30 for a 50th birthday party. There is a set menu for functions - 3 courses for about £25 a head. The food was plentiful, nicely presented and well cooked. Service was OK in the restaurant but I had to keep asking (and the going to the bar to get) water for the table...

Booked for two nights. On arrival slight issue over room facilities - Simon, manager, handled it very well, and moved us to a room with facilities we had expected. Pub is fantastic, beer excellent, food superb. Breakfast is probably best of anyplace I have stayed at. Cars even locked in car park at night. All staff very courteous and friendly....

We have stayed here several times and always thought it good value for money. However, our recent visit was so disappointing I feel compelled to write a comment. Our room was very bland with probably the worse view of all the rooms (room 10) a brick wall and the car park. The bed was a complete nightmare, so hard (as...

This is a terrific hotel and Pub with a great restaurant. The rooms are spotless and comfortable, a real powerful shower thermostatically controlled. The décor is really nice and the bed is comfortable. WiFi is good in the rooms as well as in the bar. This is a great place for a business trip or social visit. The pub is...

As we have recently retired, we were attracted to the 'Sunday Deal' (£110 for DBB). The restaurant is obviously very popular as it was still busy from Sunday lunch when we booked in in the afternoon & there was a nice ambience in the evening as there were again several people dining. There was a good choice for the evening...

Twice this year we have called in here for a cooked lunch before checking into flights at Bristol Airport. Really good food, nice surroundings and great wine. Helpful and attentive staff. Good choice for a typical village pub. No doubt will be there again soon.

We have recently returned from a weekend's break at The Carpenters Arms. Lovely, clean & comfortable rooms with excellent tea & coffee facilities in the room. We also ate at the pub for both the nights we were staying & although not cheap, it was very good food. Good beer & wine list too. Breakfast is excellent & sets you...
