As a family, we have been a long a few times in recent weeks. Each time we have enjoyed the food, which changes regularly, so always something new to try. Would highly recommend trying it out. Only down side is staff can sometimes struggle if very busy.

Four of us went in for lunch. I had the poshest liver and bacon I've ever had, served in a stack with a separate little pan of gravy. Delicious. My partner had an enormous fish with chips. Staff were lovely.

The positives: lovely location and view, large, clean room and en suite; comfortable twin beds. But ... arriving in the dark, we were told to be careful on the outside metal steps because the bottom one was completely covered in fallen leaves; you couldn't see there was a step. (The next morning I swept these off myself in 5 seconds...

Amazing service & food was excellent. We went late in December as a family, we knew in advance the kitchen shut at 5 but they didn't rush us & the food quality was amazing - even though we had table booked for 4.30 there was plenty choice and specials available. Highly recommend, great staff and owner was lovely and chatty....

Warm, relaxed, friendly welcome at a local pub that serves great quality, no nonsense, great value Sunday lunches. Choice of meats (beef, chicken, pork, lamb) all with Yorkshire and veg. Good puddings too. Cannot fault it for what it is. Just the ticket!

We came along as a family en masse this month for a get together. The staff were fantastic from the start and made us all feel so welcome. Great beds for the night and really friendly staff who were hospitable until last orders. Hangovers were helped with a fantastic breakfast and we all stayed on for an amazing value Sunday...

Had the pleasure of using this lovely establishment whilst working in the area for several weeks. Staff are very welcoming and service always comes with a smile. The rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the food is extremely good... I just wish I had the will power to eat less cheesecake! The Anglers Arms is a wonderful little...

Had a lovely meal here the other night. Really good piece of beef and Diane sauce. A proper belly filling helping of food served by a friendly host. I even stayed for the quiz, which was good too. I'm told by the residents that the rooms are extremely clean and that pillow cases are ironed beautifully. Staff take care to...
