Greeted by friendly staff . The rooms were spacious and clean, although didn't like the bowl of mints as they were unwrapped and didn't like the thought of other people having touched them. The bed was quite firm and the pillows were hard (for us). The room was very light from the street lights and the sun coming up early,... More

We spent 7 nights and had continental b/fast each day, taking evening meals on most occasions. The overall impression was that the pricing and standard were competitive. Quibbles about continental b/fasts not being enough don't apply. If you want to fill up on your b/fast, have an English one! Staff were chatty, friendly and helpful. Room spacious for two people... The accommodation is in generously proportioned chalets adjacent to the pub, with their own car parking close to each individual door. The standard of accommodation is very good, and the facilities exceptional for the tariff. I was grateful for the opportunity to relax in and armchair with a decent coffee table in front of me watching a large screen TV... More

We needed somewhere which served nice food, had accommodation on the ground floor and was close by to Wansbeck Hospital. As soon as we entered into the Swan Inn I knew my husband had made the right choice. You could feel the a lovely warm and friendly atmosphere. We were greeted by very friendly staff and given the key to... More

We eat here quite often as the food is usually very good, bar food but good. However the owners and waiting staff seem somewhat stuffy and As if sometimes you were imposing on them. Sometimes it's as if you were entering their front roon uninvited. Not always made to feel welcome if you pop in without a reservation. Did pop... More
