We've stayed here before albeit 10 years ago. The Inn is under new management and is about to undergo some refurbishment work. The new staff are really nice, a special mention for Julian - nothing was too much trouble. The beer is top notch and the food is excellent. Breakfast was one of the nicest, non-greasy proper full English breakfasts...

Lovely stay and when we gave some positive feedback on a very minor problem the team dealt with it swiftly and extremely satisfactorily. IThe food and service was excellent. It's being refurbished very soon by the new owners.

We had heard that this establishment had changed hands and decided to give it a whirl for lunch. We were welcomed beautifully by Lyndon, a most charming young man. As it was Burns night there was appropriate fare on the blackboard as well as an interesting printed menu. I opted for the souffle as a starter and my husband had...

Lovely friendly staff who were very helpful. We ate in the restaurant both nights and were impressed by the lovely selection which was cooked to perfection. The home made apple and blackberry and plum crumbles were gorgeous! Breakfasts were equally well cooked and tasty. Our room was comfortable and had lovely views over the village.

Stayed here recently/ Friendly staff, food was good though limited choice. Room smallish and could do with updating. One thing which was very off putting was the smell in the room, but after a long drive couldn;t be bothered to go else where as it was only for the night.

Very friendly and reasonable. Excellent bar menu and superb breakfast. Staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We stayed here on a coast to coast ride. Location is stunning. Recommend the double burger and chips. Pudding of crunch toffee pie was lovely too. Glad we were cycling the next day.

Called in and managed to get a table after being turned away by a number of other places and in the end we were pleased that fate took us there. A good selection of traditional, hearty food displayed on blackboards with some more exotic specials on offer if traditional food is not your thing. There was lots of selections of...
