An idyllic countryside location, this public house dates back to the 15th century. Don't be fooled, todays lunch was very much 21st century with staff to match. Our ladies ordered the Fish Pie, my chum Cod fillet and me Roast Pork! What a treat. The deserts make for a difficult decision for any pud fiend!! Extremely well priced - we...

The room was bright and very clean, the breakfast is certainly worth the 9am roll call although they will provide a earlier time if requested. I could not fault the management and staff on their wonderful attention to detail and their level of great service. The peace and quiet of the surrounding area is amazingly refreshing. If you miss this...

We stayed for 2 nights bed and breakfast and also ate both nights in the restaurant. The room was fairly small but very comfy, clean and had everything you could want. The shower was lovely and powerful. Our room was cleaned and serviced each day which was lovely. The bed was so comfy. Breakfast was brilliant. The pub itself was...

We stayed here nearly six months ago, and couldn't find a bad word to say about it. My only hesitation in recommending it here is that it might make it more difficult to book a room there in future...!

Visited with 5 friends for dinner mid week. Cosy pub atmosphere and nicely decorated dining room. Staff were friendly and efficient. The speciality here is pies and I'll be surprised if anybody finds a pub in Kent that sells better pies than these. A choice of about 12 shortcrust pies and 6 suet puddings. Served with choice of potatoes and...

Had a delicious three course lunch with five friends. All courses were very tasty and service was good. We had the senior person offer which was excellent value for money. Choice of all three courses was varied and would sort most people.

The food in this pub cannot be faulted - traditional and very tasty. Often when I meet friends from work, we come to this pub for lunch because the food is great and the service is prompt. It was because of this, I decided to book for an evening meal to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my husband and my...

Good morning I am truly sorry to hear that you have been made to feel uncomfortable whilst in our pub. Would you be so kind as to let me know when you were in and where you sat as I have spoken to everyone here and nobody remembers this incident. Unusually, I do not recall anything either so please contact...

Stayed here for 1 night in August. The staff were very friendly on arrival and showed me to my room. The room was clean and tidy and has been recently refurbished. We decided to eat in the restaurant, it was nice and busy and had a great atmosphere. The food really was great, and the staff were very helpful and...

We stayed here as a family of 5 last night after getting off the late ferry from Dunkirk to Dover. It is tucked away so you will most probably need a Sat Nav to find it. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.
