We arrived late afternoon, and just sat and took in our surroundings for a couple hours. We stayed two nights and enjoyed every minute. So much nature happening all around you while laying in a hammock or sitting in a rocking chair. We walked out...More
We spent 6 glorious days at the Dream Palm House at Congo Bongo. Our favourite activities included: fresh fruit smoothies every morning made in the blender they provided; walking through the jungle at Congo Bongo past the wonderfully painted sculptures to the beach for a...More
The most beautiful place we have visited in Costa Rica!
Right upon arrival we were greeted by the wonderful hosts Daan and Marisol. She was very friendly and took us to our house almost immediately. We spend a wonderful 4 days in Paradise. :)
My wife and I had a great time at Congo Bongo. We stayed in the Dream Nature house which was really cool and very well maintained. The grounds are beautiful and the beach is perfect. It is a great place to relax and enjoy nature.
What a lovely spot. So nice to have your own completely private place. We enjoyed every aspect of the lodge. I almost don't want to recommend it as I selfishly would like to keep it a secret! Shhhh. There are many reviews describing the lodges,...More

We were there in May for 2 1/2 weeks. We drove from one end of the country to the other, over 1500 km. That being said the roads are fairly poor and the the drivers are crazy. If I were to do it again I would do the same thing. When you drive take your time and enjoy the sights. Just don't get in a hurry and enjoy yourself. You need a GPS. The there are no signs and I don't think I would've ever found my way around without one. You will love Congo bongo
