This is a cute little place with a fair bit of charm and a wonderful staff. The rooms are basic and pretty small, but typical for a European hotel. I stayed in January and the room was plenty warm. There is no free internet. The restaurant offered good food. All in all, for the price, this is a good place...

My fiance and I stayed here for one night only and honestly, I cannot imagine we would stay longer. Check-in was great! The lady who worked at reception was very friendly, spoke English well and helped even with a late check out. Our room was on the second floor and even though it was quite large according to European standards,...

My family and I were leaving Germany and stayed here. We have a family of four, two adults and two kids (6 and 10). The room is definitely large enough. We did not get the suite which has a kitchenette. I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the area for a shorter period of time. If you need...

I stayed at Hotel Angerer for a week for a business trip, and it was a perfectly fine choice in the Vilseck/Grafenwoehr area. This is a smaller place and the front desk isn't manned 24/7, but the proprietor lives nearby and comes over quickly if there is an issue (you can call from the front desk). Service was friendly and...

I didn't stay at this hotel. After church and before the Faschingsfest parade began, decided to try local fare in Vilseck. Ordered the specialty, fresh weisswurst with pretzel and mustard. Basically two white brats, a pretzel and dish of mustard. Most of the locals around me were ordering schnitzel, dumplings and large beers. Clearly I ordered the wrong dish:) Food...

Good- Very friendly staff...Free wi-fi (email and browsing only), very comfortable bed, wonderful view of the town, and amazing food (dinner)...great blending of traditional Bavarian architecture with modern amenities. Could be better (not bad)- uncomfortable towels, limited outlets by the desk/bedside, no streaming capability for NETFLIX My son and I stayed here after a wrestling tournament on post. The price...

I used to live in that town as a kid/ teenager and we went to the restaurant sometimes for lunches. This time I stayed for 1 night for a concert at Burg Dagestein (http://www.burg-dagestein.de ) with my family and we chose this hotel. Booking and check-in was easy, the price quite reasonable, the room was nice and sufficiently big, everything...

If you like inexpensive, quiet, relaxing, and friendly service in either English or German, and like to be left alone in the evenings, this is your place. It's definitely an old building, so if you want ultra modern, or 24 hour service, look elsewhere. The breakfast buffet is just a tad bit skimpy by European standards, but they were quick...

Hotel staff put me in a smoking room without asking. Since the front desk closes around 9 and I didn't settle into my room until after checking in, I didn't notice this until it was too late and got to (try to) sleep on a smoke-scented, uncomfortable mattress. I'd rather sleep in my car than stay here again. To top...

The hotel is in the heart of Vilseck and is less than 1/4 mile from restaurants and grocery stores. As mentioned in other reviews, the staff speak English well and are extremely gracious and helpful. The on-site restaurant has good food and the prices are comparable to other restaurants in the vicinity. Breakfast is typically German with bread/rolls, cheese, meats,...

“I really like the rooms near the pool. It was undergoing renovations, but there is a lovely open patio in the center.”
