We had two rooms as a family of three & two dogs ! River View & Church View, which were exactly as described with perfect views of both ! The bedrooms were extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean with superb en suites. Every little extra had been remembered which was appreciated after a day of walking. What a wonderful stay we have had. Excellent family care from beginning to end. Hearty Breakfast. Peaceful River views. Amenities in the Village / Post Office/ Vg for cash. Evening and day meals on our walks and trips were well worth it and varied. Walks abound. Even without maps. Sits in the conservatory with tea and biscuits. MMM! Sleeps so... More

We had a very comfortable en-suite room with super views over the river. Everywhere was spotlessly clean with lots of little extras in the bathroom. Frank looked after us very well and cooked a superb breakfast. The village people were very friendly and the local pub was excellent for an evening meal.

Would have loved to stay longer (we had two nights). Frank and Liz couldn't have offered a warmer welcome, and a delicious breakfast! Every comfort is catered for in their comfortable rooms and well decorated rooms. The riverside setting is magical. Will definitely be one to return to.

This B&B is located right on the banks of a beautiful river. The room was clean and the on-suite was first class, with both a bath and separate shower. Breakfast was filling and the owners were very helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this B&B to anyone.

Can only echo what other reviewers have said. the location is great for the dales and the Lakes are no too far away. We were only there for one night as we had a birthday party for a local farming freind. However we wished we could have stayed longer and enjoyed some walks. Liz and Frank were welcoming and freindly.... More

We have found a veritable gem of a B&B to stay, convenient for the Yorkshire Dales and also the Lake District, and near to M6 and Heysham for the ferry to Isle of Man. As good as a four star hotel, with all the facilities. Super breakfasts. Friendly owners, Frank and Liz. Good food at nearby pub the Punch Bowl,... More

So glad we found this lovely B & B. It is quite obvious from the decor and the overall set up, that the owners know what makes a top accommodation. Very pleasant surroundings and great breakfast. The family room we had was beautiful, with high quality bedding and a fully fitted bathroom including bath and bidet. This was very welcome,... More
