I visited the restaurant yesterday lunchtime, we had not booked a table, but they accommodated 3 of us. The food was excellent, service very good. Staff were friendly and kind. I will definitely be back soon. Thanks for a really pleasant afternoon.

Travelled here to visit family. We got the box room which was ok, as we came for a family party so really needed a room. Breakfast was nice. However, I didn't once see a member of staff smile. We also weren't made aware of all the information like the wifi code or the code for the door to get in...

We paid £99 for two nights plus a main meal, this was a special deal with Groupon. I wouldn't have wanted to spend anymore than this as it was quite basic, we had a fair size room with tea/coffee making facilities and good size bathroom. I think our room was above the kitchen because it was so hot in our...

Visiting area for a family function, so did not expect 5star accommodation. This is a pub that is well supported by the local community and offers a variety of food and drink. the rooms are adequate, bed comfortable and tea making facilities. bathroom lacked a hand rail in the bath. Clean towels and usual shampoo, gel etc.

Arrived without a reservation on a Monday evening and got a room OK. Up some rickety stairs to a front bedroom. Somewhat taken aback by the decor, but it was clean and comfortable although I did get locked in the bathroom and had to be rescued by my husband. Hope they fix that soon as it was quite disconcerting to...

My wife and I had a Groupon deal for afternoon tea. Not sure we would have paid the full price, but the deal made it reasonable. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and although we did not use the pub or hotel facilities it appeared comfortable enough. Sandwiches and cake, followed by scones with cream and fresh raspberries (makes...

Booked this pub as it appeared to be the closest and cheapest of many places to stay near Goudhurst where we were attending a wedding. At £130 not including breakfast for two nights turned out to be, not particularly good value . Situated on a very busy, noisy junction on first appearances looked pleasant , on arrival we were greeted...

We stayed at the Royal Oak in April 2015 and enjoyed it so much we wanted to come again, so here we are July 2015 and it is every bit as wonderful as it was before. Our room is comfy, spotlessly clean, with a good hot powerful shower. The television is 32" and is positioned nicely for viewing. Dinner was...
