The staff were particularly friendly and welcoming along with the locals in the bar in the evening. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The room was very comfortable and spacious with a totally adequate bathroom. We found that it was a nice base for travel around that part of Kent. We would definitely recommend it to anyone. Having been to this pub on many occasions I can honestly say we have always had superb food. Plenty to choose from the menu. You can sit in the pub side or their is a dining area at the back. In winter there is always a big log fire burning.

Great hosts, warm welcome, very clean facilities, comfortable beds and to top it off great food. What more do you need. Whether for business or just social pleasure, I would not hesitate to stay here. Such a relaxing atmosphere and ideal for the coast and Canterbury. Book it!

Very friendly pub with a really comical licensee. We just went there for an evening meal and the food was very good and reasonably priced. Ideal for people like us who were staying at the Ramsgate Premier Inn at Minster, because it was only a 5 minute drive away.

Fabulous stay. Clive is friendly and quite the comedian, even the locals join in to make you feel like you're a regular. Fantastic food both evening meal and breakfast. The room was modern and warm with a good, clean and functioning ensuite. Wonderfully comfortable bed. Highly recommended.

We arrived in deep fog so had no idea where we were until the next day! We didn't eat there so cannot rate the food. The room was clean and beds comfy. Cosy pub area, with lovely large glasses of wine! I left my phone charger and plug behind, I'm pleased to say it was handed in and the owners...

Clive made us feel really welcome from the moment we checked in till we left. Full english breakfast with gluten free toast for my wife was greatly appreciated. Good location for a weekend break to Canterbury and the Isle of Thanet.

Very helpful, lovely owners, great food, great room. If we could make only one small suggestion we would suggest a friendly notice/reminder to all guests to respect other residents and try to keep the noise to a minimum

My friends and I have eaten here on a number of occasions, the menu is very varied and there are always a number of specials. The freshly cooked food is excellent and Clive and Penny are excellent hosts.

The hospitality from this place is second to none, from first meet and greet to leaving! We stayed one night whilst visiting friends and found the venue easy to get to and ample parking. The breakfast was efficient and tasty and the kids enjoyed the interaction between them and the staff. A good local pub and stay place!
