We stayed the night in the top of the tower. The bed is so big we needed a satnav to find each other! The room and bedding was immaculate and the views wonderful. The only down side is if you have a weak bladder – to toilet is at the bottom of the tower. Earlier on we ate at the...

The rooms are quite small and you have to share a bathroom but the quaint town is worth visiting! And the food... I would wait hours for the delicious lamb- though it doesn't take hours! If you do visit Nieu Bethesda then this is the hotel to stay at!

This is the best place to stay on a budget - we were concerned about warmth in the midst of winter but there were no worries there. Going down the stairs to the toilet and shower might not be everyones cup of tea but in fact its all part of the charm of this place.

If you're cash-strapped but want something cool, quirky and characterful, Bethesda Tower (and the charming Priory next door) are well worth-visiting! Friendly staff, warm and cosy lodgings, true small-town Karoo hospitality! Will definitely be back!

Very nice food, clean, warm and cozy room within the unique architectural tower design making it stand out as something special. The arts and crafts development that are supported are...

The staff were amazing and helped us set up a barbeque even though they were under the impression we would eat in the restaurant - we were sorry because the food looked and smelt amazing! Nothing was too much trouble and the whole stay is remembered as one of the best times of our lives.

We are a family and stayed in the top room at the tower. The stairs leading around the tower to the room and the round bed inside made our children feel like in a fairy tale. The whole enclosure is run by an artist community. Take the chance and have a look at their work. Especially at the sewed tapestry...

We have stayed in Nieu Bethesda before and the Bethesda Tower was by far the most wonderful choice of accommodation. We were caught in a storm after Willowmore right up to Graaff Reinet and through to Nieu Bethesda. The road leading to the town had to be done in the thickest fog at a very slow pace (stepping back in...

Excellent food! We had the rosemary lamb, that was served with roasted fresh vegetables; which was amazing. The staff were very friendly and eager to help. The bathroom is a bit small. All in all, very good value for money! Will definately be visting again in the future!
