Went for dinner with friends who were staying there who have two dogs. Reasonable choice of beers and average pub grub but expensive for what you get. Service good. It is genuinely dog friendly as they are welcome to sit under your table.

My friend and I popped into The Cherry Tree for Sunday lunch and although we hadn't booked, there were plenty of available tables. We had out drinks order taken immediately and our main order was equally as quick. We both ordered roast chicken, the chicken was ok but the vegetables and roast potatoes were overcooked and soggy. We both ordered...

Stayed for a family function and Charlie and Jo could not be more accommodating. Rooms are very comfortable, pub is wonderful but the food is superb. All fresh homemade. You do not walk out hungry and your wallet is not empty. All around a great place

Travelled on business so was in the Area. My room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I had a great nights sleep (just what you need after a long day). Breakfast was freshly cooked and if I am ever back in the area I will stay here again.

Comfortable, clean bedding quiet location. We need somewhere to stay when visiting family recently moved to the area. This fitted the bill lovely. However if there was one little niggle, the shower could do with a thorough clean around the bottom hinge and maybe some new sealant.

Average room, good shower with nice towels, nice staff but very uncomfortable twin beds. The padding on the mattresses had worn so thin that every spring could be felt. Because of this we had two very bad nights sleep which spoilt our break.

This pub has changed hands several times over the six or so years and at long last the quality of the food and bar ambience has started to improve after years of disappointment. The bar snacks menu is very reasonably priced. There is a mon/fri lunch at £10.00, persumably 2 courses. The bar has a good selection of draught beers...

The host was very accommodating and when we arrived early, he let us check in. We stayed for 3 days. The shower either needed refurbished or cleaned. The bottom corners were totally black (mildew or mold). The food was ok in the pub but the continental breakfast was very weak. It consisted of bread, cold cereal, oj, and instant coffee....

Living in Rochford this is a local. We had my Great Niece with us and out of choice we sat in a small room with access to the bar. We all chose the ploughmans which was huge and was served with several cheeses and delicious ham ! Absolutely lovely ! Service was friendly and we were made to feel very...
