I needed a place to stay for one night before catching the ferry to holland early in the morning. I'm glad I found this cottage. Communication was good and the host was very kind and helpful. I hope to visit soon again.

This year (2010), I made a little backpack tour through the United Kingdom, Scotland and Germany. On our way back from Scotland to the Netherlands we had to stay in Harwich for one night, since the Stena Line ferry leaves at 9.00 am from Harwich port. We were very happy to find Farm Cottage on the internet, because we thought... More

If you want to know what's life is all about take your chance and spent more than just one night at this place (all the others don't). It is emotional, fascinating, strange, crazy, but it is great. Woodstock was a dream on a short weekend, but this place is real every day! Many thanks to all of you! Hucky and... More

Farm Cottage B&B is a very homely place with extraordinary service by Andy and his team. There is no problem which could not be solved.

We recently stayed with Andy at his semi-detached ‘Farm Cottage’, before taking the Harwich/Hook of Holland ferry. The ‘Farm Cottage’ is conveniently situated for the Harwich ferry, being located right on the busy main road used by freight and passenger vehicles. We’d anticipated a 5pm arrival at the ‘Farm Cottage’, but due to favourable road conditions we arrived at 2.30pm.... More

Whenever I've stayed at a B&B my expectations were simple enough - a good bed, a good breakfast and a goodbye. Recently, selling my place and flat hunting in Harwich where I'd always planned to retire (shipping anorak), I needed somewhere to stay locally. Travelling every day from my son's in London wasn't on, so, naturally enough, I looked for... More

The hotelier introduced himself with a friendly smile and offered to carry what little luggage I had. Within 2 minutes of arrival I was sat in a cosy dining room with a perfect cup of tea as my host 'Andy' ran through the little administration points which needed to be addressed. First of all the breakfast timings are flexible to... More

Each year, we walk from place to place during 3 or 4 days. This time we made our choice for the UK. We walked from Harwich to Cambridge (via Statford St. Mary, Sudbury and Haverhill). On the 5th day, we took the train from Cambridge to Wrabness and the proprietor Andy was so kind to pick us up by car... More
