The house is very old in part, and is old-fashioned, no lift or bar, but the room was comfortable and everything we needed was provided down to cotton-wool in the bathroom and chocolate biscuits with the tea-making tray. If you like plenty of room as a couple the double bed in our room was also traditional size, if used to... More

Many thanks for your kind review. We are pleased that you were happy with our guest house and that we met your expectations in most areas. We must have forgotten to tell you about the mini bar in the guest lounge, our apologies for this. More

It was our first trip away with our dog and I was a little nervous about taking her but I needn't have been! The room was lovely and its own outside door meant we didnt have to walk through the main areas with the dog which was ideal.the owners were really friendly and the breakfast was lovely. We will be... More

We chose Wentworth House because they would accommodate our dogs. The room was ideal, as it had a separate entrance, which meant we would not upset guests who did not like dogs, and was very comfortable.. Ann and Mark made us feel very welcome, and the breakfasts were excellent. Wentworth house is ideally situated for easy access to Spurn Head,... More

Thanks for taking the time to do a review. We are pleased you enjoyed stay and found time to visit some of the local sights. For a very rural part of England there are plenty of things to see and do especially if you enjoy the countryside and historic buildings. More

Booked to be convenient for a family wedding. Asked for and received a room with easy access for my wife who has limited mobility. Welcome was excellent and owner recommended a pub just up the road for an evening meal which she then booked for us. Room was comfortable, warm and spacious. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and... More

We were a bit suprised when we arrived, as our sat nav took us to the rear of the property, where the car park is. The room was more than adequate - nicely furnished and decorated, with a separate lounge area. Breakfast was nice, more than adequate portion, and the service was spot on. My only negative comment would be... More

Many thanks for taking the time to do a review. I have updated our web-site now with the recent changes to the pubs in the village. Unfortunately we are now down to just one in the village and one at the cliff top. The pub in the village has extended it's food provision and there are other choices within a... More

I stayed in the disabled suite on the ground floor, which is very spacious and comfortable. Wentworth House is in a peaceful village location, which makes it ideal for people that want to get away from the hustle and bustle and have a relaxing break. This guest house is excellent value for money. I have recommended it to my family... More

Many thanks for your kind review. I am pleased you found the tranquil nature of the region and setting of the guest house to your satisfaction. We are in a quiet location, which is not to everyone's taste, but as you say ideal for those wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of many of the coastal locations ( and... More

It is stated on the B&B's amenities that breakfast is free. It is not. The charge was £9 in May 2015. When we visited the place looked unkempt outside with a murder of crows that tended to create a real racket at 4am in the morning. Not the owners fault though. It was in the middle of nowhere with no... More

We sell our rooms on a room only / B&B basis in the former breakfast is not included in the price, in the later it is. You booked on a room only basis (via booking.com) and hence paid a lower price for the room. You are correct breakfast is never free and personally I’ve never stayed anywhere where it is.... More

I turned up on spec, quite late in the evening, desperately looking for a night's accommodation on my sponsored cycle ride from John o'Groats to my home in Norwich. Although they had no other guests staying (they had just returned from a few days away themselves), Mark and Ann welcomed me warmly. Although breakfast at the weekend normally runs from... More

Located in an nice quiet village this was the ideal getaway that my partner and I needed. The rooms were well presented and clean, with Mark and Ann (the owners) who made us feel most welcome and at home. We will be happily returning and would recommend as a weekend break.

We had a quiet, relaxing weekend break at Wentworth House. Friendly, helpful service from the owners. Well equipped, clean and comfortable room that suited us fine. Use of the large guest lounge was a bonus, as was the free wi-fi. No negatives that I can think of. Would recommend to others.
