Welcoming staff, great location in this lovely town. The room was a good size and clean though in need of re-decoration, nice big bathroom, good shower. However, what we really needed was a good night's sleep which was impossible under the glare of the green light above the bed. The room was also unbearably hot.

A warm atmosphere and very extensive menu, had the fish n chips which was huge and a very good quality, prices reasonable and staff friendly. Considering it was midweek the restaurant was busy and was catering for families with children. A really good meal.

We stayed for two nights in chalet 7 last week (16th and 17th Feb). The rooms need upgrading; this one has a boiler in it. The water pump for the shower makes a huge amount of noise when in use and we had to ask for the shower head to be cleaned as it was covered in black mould. It's...

We booked a lounge for after my mother's funeral for us to go to with family and friends and have a meal. From me contacting them initially until we departed everything was just spot on. We had a hot meal followed by scones with jam and cream, plus teas. The staff could not have been pleasanter and we were very...

Just returned after spending one night at the Feathers. The room was huge and nicely furnished and the en suite was excellent, beautifully clean. The breakfast, included in the price, was great and plentiful. Without exception the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. If you are planning to visit the area would strongly recommend this hotel. Great value for money!

Four of us went here for Christmas lunch at a total cost of two hundred pounds. Service extremely slow, one and quarter hours between starter arriving and main course. Chestnut and bacon soup like dishwater and looked awful as well. Main course I had turkey which had a lot of fat with it, was tasteless and vegetables only just passable....

Stayed at The Feathers overnight on Wednesday, 7th December. Had a lovely evening visiting the Christmas Market and then spent a very comfortable night in one of the chalet rooms at The Feathers. Excellent accommodation - clean and everything you could wish for. Very good breakfast the following morning. Will definitely be staying again.

We visited on a Sunday afternoon with our 2 children. The bar area was pretty much full on arrival but we managed to find seats and asked if they served food so we settled down. After looking around the table we asked the barman for a menu and were told to go to the top till. Whereupon arriving I see...

We stayed here on Saturday 5th November, we were attending a family celebration in Pocklington, we have had many meals here before when visiting said family, but this was the first time we had stayed at the hotel. I must say we were very happy with the hotel room, in the main building. It wasn't huge but big enough, and...
