It takes an hour from this place to get to Calakmul while if you stay in a Hotel in Xpujil in a hotel I'll take two hours but it is worth it, you'll be able to sleep in a nice bed, take a shower. I understand it is the jungle, but they could do much more to have better conditions....

We took our own tent, but loved the fact that they had their own tents available at the well spaced, properly roofed and floored campgrounds. I mean, even the pathways are nice. There is a wildlife observation tower (25 mts. high) and jungle trails (1km. and 2kms.). We saw and heard rare monkeys and colorful birds. The food is a...

Four of us stayed two nights at the camp site in their tents and we all really enjoyed it. Slept well on real mattresses, woke up to the sound of the local howler monkeys, got great breakfasts and dinners there. The eco shower and toilets were really clean. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to any one.

We rent hammock include a clean blanket. We enjoyed the experience sleeping in the forest without electricity and water supply. We used rain water collected by them to wash ourselves and at night we use headlamp. Everything is very eco friendly including the toilet but they succeed to keep the place clean. Very friendly owner and they prepare delicious dinner....

The campsite is 7km in from the main road, at the main road there is an entrance where you'll pay a small fee - a warning here is that the young guys at this entrance might try to persuade you to stay in the hut for a few pesos. Don't do it! It's right next to the road and so...

Hi We stayed at the Yaax'che camp in March 2015 and did not have a great experience. Initially the staff was very friendly and helpful and the campsite seemed basic and expensive, but adequate. We were greated by the owner's adult son "Oswaldo" and arranged for him to take us on a guided nature walk the next day. We paid...

A real jungle experience and a good place to stay on the way to Calakmul. Really friendly family owners who provided us with some excellent meals at reasonable prices and ice cold beers. We rented a tent for the night which was completely bug-proof and had a comfortable air bed. Of course the toilets were composting ones, the shower was...

As a campsite Campamento Yaax'che does exactly as you'd expect: gives you a place to camp. There are spaces to pitch your own tent or ready pitched tents for hire. The amenities are basic but that's how it should be in a place like this. The showers are rainwater and the toilets are ecological compost types. There are paths into...

We had read the other reviews and so were curious to see what the campsite was like. We packed our own tent and camping gear. The spot where we pitched our tent was firm ground with some leaf cover, soft enough for pegs and relatively free of rocks. There is food available on site, and whilst it is nothing to...

As lovers of nature and camping this site was a perfect choice for us to stay on our way to Palenque. The owners are very nice people. Highly appreciated were their efforts to create a walking path into the jungle with namings of trees and the watch tower from were we could observe various birds. The food was basic but...
