We really enjoyed our stay from the moment we booked by phone we spoke to a lovely lady named Crystal who was very helpfully and till the time we left all the staff was friendly. We stayed in one of the Chalet Cabins and it was well cleaned and tidy also good sea views and the whole pack was well maintained. Would highly recommend Island View Caravan Park to anyone

We stayed for a few days here in December 21. The facilities are quite impressive - two pools, multiple gathering areas, and a huge airconditioned games room. The park was quite busy when we were there, but it handled the number of guests quite well. We actually left a day early, as the weather was closing in, and we actually struggled to find much to do in the Yeppoon area (our Keppel day trip had to be cancelled due to bad weather). The park is quite a ways from town, but given how busy they were, im assuming its mostly repeat business for people looking to park up and read/relax etc. The beach is across the road, but it's not very inviting (kinda muddy and very shallow). That said, if you are coming to Yeppoon you probably know what to expect. Great to see family run independent parks still around, an this one is a credit to the owners. If I was going to give a tip - maybe the local accommodation places and the local council and tourism and restaurants could come up with a handout for travelers from outside the Capricorn region, to ensure they are aware of all the good things on offer (places to see, discount vouchers, what to do if it's raining). As it stands we wouldn't rush back to Yeppoon, but maybe we didn't see the best of the region. Also, the council should invest in a bike path from Emu to Yeppoon - the road is narrow and not safe for cyclists.

Thanks you for review, It is good to see new guest looking into this area, We have been in the park for 8 years and have built the park to very reputative park that a lot of guest talk about on their travels. So may travellers over the past have enjoyed this area, just for the fact they can stop unwind and relax and recharge before moving on. We have safe and relaxing park. With great amenities and facilities to enjoy. The beach across the road is dog friendly which give our guest the great comfort that their pets can come with them. Bad weather was from the top QLD to the bottom and give that weather can not be predicted, All areas have to do there best they can at the time. The comments you refer too. I believe would be bester off taken to the local Council and Government not on a business review. As local council and Government do not look at our review. We wish you safe travels From the team at Island View Caravan Park

All the staff are friendly & very helpful. We stayed an extra week due to health reasons & it wasn't a problem & was able to stay on same site. The sites are very good, single or double slab & grass. The amenites are spotless & excellent.Rubbish collection every day.Their are 2 beautiful crystal clear swimming pools, playground & very good camp kitchen. It's a lovely quiet park as well back from main road. The Kinka Bch is opposite on other side of road & has views out to Magnetic Islands & Southern Barrier Reef.Lovely beach walks. The only down side is the dusty roads in the park that guests don't go slow on as they drive through & it goes into everyone elses sites.Apart from this highly recommend.

In the twelve months since we last visited the new facilities and upgrades are nothing short of amazing. The old amenities completely refurbished and new amenities on the upper level. Pet friendly to the extent of a washing machine solely for dog bedding!!! Grassed spacious sites that are easy to get into. Two swimming pools in a beautiful setting; one pool for adults only. School holidays when we were lucky enough to jag a cancellation. It was so good we wanted to extend but fully booked. The owner then gave us the use of a site he keeps for family and friends. Probably the best and friendliest park we have visited.
