We stayed for a few days here in December 21. The facilities are quite impressive - two pools, multiple gathering areas, and a huge airconditioned games room. The park was quite busy when we were there, but it handled the number of guests quite well. We actually left a day early, as the weather was closing in, and we actually struggled to find much to do in the Yeppoon area (our Keppel day trip had to be cancelled due to bad weather). The park is quite a ways from town, but given how busy they were, im assuming its mostly repeat business for people looking to park up and read/relax etc. The beach is across the road, but it's not very inviting (kinda muddy and very shallow). That said, if you are coming to Yeppoon you probably know what to expect. Great to see family run independent parks still around, an this one is a credit to the owners. If I was going to give a tip - maybe the local accommodation places and the local council and tourism and restaurants could come up with a handout for travelers from outside the Capricorn region, to ensure they are aware of all the good things on offer (places to see, discount vouchers, what to do if it's raining). As it stands we wouldn't rush back to Yeppoon, but maybe we didn't see the best of the region. Also, the council should invest in a bike path from Emu to Yeppoon - the road is narrow and not safe for cyclists.

Thanks you for review, It is good to see new guest looking into this area, We have been in the park for 8 years and have built the park to very reputative park that a lot of guest talk about on their travels. So may travellers over the past have enjoyed this area, just for the fact they can stop unwind and relax and recharge before moving on. We have safe and relaxing park. With great amenities and facilities to enjoy. The beach across the road is dog friendly which give our guest the great comfort that their pets can come with them. Bad weather was from the top QLD to the bottom and give that weather can not be predicted, All areas have to do there best they can at the time. The comments you refer too. I believe would be bester off taken to the local Council and Government not on a business review. As local council and Government do not look at our review. We wish you safe travels From the team at Island View Caravan Park

Recently stayed for 2 nights, staff were friendly, amenities were modern and cleaned twice a day, lots of extras like lovely pool area, bar area, bbqs and seating , camp kitchen, lovely gardens , laundry area, location to beach and separate area for permanents residents. Everyone was quiet and well behaved in the park even though mostly full. A credit to the owners for their management of the park during COVID 19.

Thank you so much for your appreciation of our park. Island view Caravan Park is only a short drive to Emu Park of about 4 min and 12 min to Yeppoon. Kinka beach is also a dog friendly beach so pets are very welcome at our park. We hope to see you again when travelling this way. From the Team at Island View Caravan Park.

Lovely park with friendly and attentive managers who appear to take pride in what they do. The park has landscaped gardens and grass on the sites which is nice to have. The amenities are well maintained and clean. Each van site has a TV cable to hook up to. The beach is opposite which yields whiting fish at high tide but is not a good swimming beach as it is very shallow and at low tide the flats extend for many kms. The kids loved the pool, jumping pillow, playground and walks along the beach sand flats. There is also a small bird avary, some roaming chickens, 2 ponies and a peacock who all were big hits with the kids.
The main things missing for us, being in a tent, are a proper camp kitchen with hotplates, microwave and kettle. There are wash up facilities and bbq though. The unpowered section isn't that great and I'd suggest the large shady unpowered section at Coolwaters Discovery just up the road is a better option if needing empowered. Loved our stay at Island View and will return

The location of the park, amenities, cleanliness were all very good. However, we were extremely disappointed with our site allocation. When making a booking in March of this year for 4 nights in mid August, we only had 3 specific requests.

A. A long caravan site;
B. A slab as opposed to grass; and
C. No trees in immediate surrounds.

When we arrived we were given a grassed site under a large clump of trees. On a low point on the island with all grey water from neighbouring sites being discharged to surface.

When I approach Reception I asked if there was any opportunity for me to be moved as I felt that with only 1 out nof 3 requests being satisfied I would at least be given consideration to accommodate my other 2 requests. At this point, the lack of customer service became very apparent very quickly with a full park and ongoing requests from other caravaners for accommodation they had no willingness to even consider any alternatives. I was offered a refund but this was disingenuous as they new full well that every caravan park on the Capricornia coast was full, the latter I confirmed when seeking an alternative. The take it or leave it mentality was their customer service mantra. BE WARNED - seek absolute confirmation in writing of all booking arrangements otherwise you will be disappointed and any subsequent requests for change will be dismissed.

We had 2 nights booked here but due to car trouble outside Emerald we had to miss our first night and we’re so disappointed not to have the additional day, Andrew, Renee and Ron “the ring master” (with his mini horses & animal on show) made us welcome. Ammenities and showers were the best on our 10 day road trip. We would highly recommend this park to all thinking of staying in this area and close to Emu Park and Yeppoon if you wish to visit for the day. Fish & Chips at Kinka Kippa worth a walk to for dinner too.

Thank you for such a wonderful review. We are so happy to hear that your stay with us was rewarding. We hope that the rest of your travels go off with out any more problems and you enjoy every minute of the holiday. Kinka Kippa is a little land mark of it own and the food is worth it to try. We also have in Emu Park the Pine Beach Hotel a great hotel that serves very nice meals. One more place to visit for meals is The Vue on the esplanade of Yeppoon. We booked in February 2023 for our stay at Island View for our 3 week stay in June, we were given the option of 2 sites which we were not that happy with, but had to accept because the park was fully booked, on several occasions I contacted the park asking if other sites had become available, and was told there were no others available. We had stayed at the park on several occasions over the years and we loved it. Unfortunately this time was different, we had been allocated site 35, directly opposite the new coffee shop and next to the amenities. Well the coffee shop opens at 7:30am till 10:00am, and is the meeting place for management and who ever is buying coffee, so at 7:30am every morning we were woken up with noise, (unfortunately not everyone wants to be woken at that time, and no thought for people and what they maybe going through and needed to sleep). It was also school holidays for part of our stay, there were some unruly children and this was reported to Maddie in reception and was asked to pass onto management, but unfortunately obviously that wasn't done.
Will we return NO!

Location is beautiful. Amenities clean and adequate. However there is no sullage on the sites, No TV reception.Very poor phone service and minimal WIFI.We booked 8 months out and requested sites close to our travelling companions however found ourselves at opposite ends of the park. Site 21 is very small and difficult to manoeuvre onto. really only suitable for small motor homes.We could not fold out our awning and had to park on the slab with the van.Barely enough room to set up a chair . We were very disappointed. Our allocated site was certainly very poor value for the money we paid.
