Review From the time we walked in the door, Steve and Kay were the most welcoming hosts we’ve ever encountered in our twenty years of travelling together. They provided a wealth of local knowledge and advice, and gave us all the tips and tricks for an enjoyable stay (e.g. setting phones to Sydney time so they stop switching to QLD time) Upon arriving at our chalet we were impressed with the tranquility, surrounded by nature, feeling like we were miles from anyone. There were visible and hidden personal touches everywhere, from the candles around the spa bath to the fridge stocked with delicious juices and most importantly, Tim Tams!!! The information book had useful information on local stores and cafes, as well as suggested activities, which proved useful as we planned our days. On our first full day exploring we found ourselves stranded in the national park with a flat tyre and no spare (yes, we’re THOSE city idiots). We managed to get a bar of service and call a tow truck (thank you Murwillumbah District Towing - best towie ever!!!!!) to take out car and is two-and-a-bit hours back to Murwillumbah. The amazing Steve and Kay came to pick us up from Murwillumbah at 9:30pm…absolute legends going above and beyond their host duties! Kay then gave us a lift back to town the next day to pick up the car. Our stay would’ve been a lot less enjoyable without their amazing assistance. We thoroughly enjoyed our four days at Limpinwood Lodge and will definitely be back for a weekend soon! The tranquility of the chalet (plus minimal Optus service) ensured we could relax, unwind and reconnect with one another. We highly recommend Limpinwood Lodge for a couples getaway. Thanks Steve and Kay for making our 20 year wedding anniversary a truly memorable one.

My partner and I stayed at the Pinnacle chalet for our anniversary celebration. The place is perfect and has everything we need to boost our romantic moments. Undercovered spa, firepit, the comfiest king-size bed, double showers, and breakfast ingredients provided... you name it! Steve and Kay are wonderful hosts they went above and beyond to make sure we have the best experience throughout our stay at their property and get to see the beautiful part of nature in the neighborhood area. We feel we have made friends on our trip. Highly recommend this exceptional place to anyone!

Wow! I am so glad that I did my research and picked Limpinwood Lodge for our getaway. This place is magic. We stayed in Valley View. It was perfect. The privacy, the view from the spa, wow! The birds, the wallabies, the flowers. Beautiful double shower, heated towel racks, fire place, luxurious robes, towels etc. Everything that we needed for a comfortable, relaxing, romantic stay. Steve and Kay were great, friendly hosts. And the area, wow. It is such an incredible drive from Tyalgum to murwillumbah through the rolling hills with the mountains all around. So stunning! We will definitely be back and can not recommended this place high enough. Thank you Steve and Kay 🪵🌴🪶✨🥂

From when you arrive until you leave you are made to feel welcome. Beautiful accommodation to relax and unwind. The chocolates with a birthday message and the fresh bread every morning was a lovely touch. Great bed and fantastic private spa on the deck. Also a great base to visit local towns. Highly recommended.

Beautiful chalet, comfortable and secluded, all you need for a romantic break. Very quiet and luscious surroundings. Lovely breakfast, and there is also a dinner option that was lovely as well. Take into account that internet reception is poor, bring a good book. There is a large selection of DVD's in every chalet

Beautiful and stunning location, so quiet and peaceful. The cottages are gorgeous and they have everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Love the spa and fire and all the little extras that make it a memorable stay. The fresh bread each morning is a lovely touch too. If you do need to venture out there are some great walks and towns near by. Very highly recommended.

Myself and my partner needed a few days away from the kids and life’s duties in general. We loved the outdoor spa, fireplace, privacy and nature. So very rejuvenating. Our hosts Kaye and Steve were lovely and welcoming paying close attention to many homely details including fresh hot bread everyday. Highly recommend and can’t wait to stay again. Brooke and Jas

Kay and Steve pulled out all the stops with their Lodge, 4 gorgeous private and secluded little chalets complete with a spa bath on the balcony and a little fireplace. They were incredibly friendly and helpful and the Saturday night dinner and dessert meal for $70 per couple was incredible- would definitely recommend the homemade chunky beef pot pie and sticky date pudding. Thankyou for giving us a quiet, lovely little break away in paradise.

Limpinwood lodge certainly lives up to all of the wonderful reviews. We stayed for two nights in the "pinnacle" chalet and it was amazing. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as fresh eggs and milk being provided. There was also a wide array of condiments such as tomato sauce, jam, butter and more. A nice selection of tea and coffee was also provided in the room. As many others have noted, the freshly baked bread was a really special treat to have every morning. The room itself was even better than it appears in pictures, such a large airy space with big windows looking out into the trees. It has all the "getaway" aspects a couple could want, without compromising on comfort at all. A huge thanks to our hosts Bob and Roybn, who really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and offering advice on places to visit and eat nearby. Thank you so much - we will be back!
