This campsite has the most stunning scenery as you are located right on the beach. It has great amenities - clean toilets and showers, a kitchen with a hob, drinking water, kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge, with pots and pans available to rent, plenty of areas to sit and a playground for children.

The campsites location is excellent as it is only a 5 minute drive to Wilsons Prom entry and an 8 minute drive to Yanakie general store, petrol station etc. I originally booked this as the Prom's campsites were booked out and I am so glad we ended up here as we had the best time.

The campsites themselves are spacious and private (we camped in a two man tent)
The Prom can get windy at times but there are sites where you are shielded from the wind. The prices are value for money too.

Craig who met us upon arrival was very kind, accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. I would 100% recommend this campsite and I hope to return in the near future.

We booked 2 different sites, a premium water from site for a family with 4 children. Which we found was generous with space and great proximity to facilities and playground, the second a powered site for 2 couples ( one in a van and the second in a swag) the drawbacks started here under no circumstances would management budge on the single car per site rule ( despite there being plenty of space on either site for a second car) thus leaving the campers without half of their supplies IN A PUBLIC CARPARK we did have understand the 1 car per site rule but we were not made aware that utes loaded with Engle fridges would be sitting in a public boat ramp carpark adjacent to park, not only did we feel uneasy about this it was not enforced well, while we made a couple of requests during our stay to put the car in and out of the way our requests were denied but three premium sites adjacent to the first family mentioned had 2 cars parked in their sites for a minimum of 80% of the stay so enforcing the rules was lacking.

Facilities were old but fair, however not enough of them to maintain the park in peak season and cleaning schedule need to be adjusted 830 am is when most people are up to the toilet and while the second Set may be open they were full! Not ideal with 4 young kids.
My kids loved the cricket and we did have a great trip minus our hiccups.

Thank you for your review and feedback. We are so pleased that you had a great trip overall; the park is a great spot for families and kids to relax over the summer break. We have a one car per site/cabin booking to try to assist with organisation and to limit traffic. We tend to have a lot of families with children about (especially during summer) so limiting vehicles helps ensure a safer environment for all, but we understand it can be a little inconvenient at times. We thank you for your patience. Customers can choose which vehicle they would like to remain on site and we do try to monitor the sites and will ask for extra cars to be removed if noticed or advised. The amenities blocks are a little old but we do try to clean them regularly. During peak times we try to do earlier cleans before it gets busy as then both blocks need to be open. Thank you for your feedback - we like to hear from people as it helps us to know where we can improve. Cheers!

Our stay in the park over the Australia Day long weekend was wonderful. The park was very desirable with access directly to the beach for boating, swimming or fishing and the facilities were clean and accessible. Will definitely be returning with the family again.

This is the third time we have stayed at this park and probably the worst experience we have had as far as other campers. When we booked we were told that they would put us away from a rather large noisy group that they had booked into the park. I think they must have moved them and we ended up next to them. Unfortunately a large booking which consisted of a group of 5 sites (approx 25 to 30 people gathering together each night) all booked together and a lack of consideration for other campers meant noisy neighbours, with barking/angry dogs that were not tied up and visited our camp-site when ever they felt like it. When we asked them to please be quite at 11.30 on the first night we basically got told to get lost and "what told to be quiet on the first night!!!" comment from the ring leader. Put up with it for the next couple of nights as we didn't want to make things worse that was until the last night when we rang the manager at midnight to come and deal with them and the music they were playing. Disappointed that the park manager would book groups in knowing they are noisy and not manager them.
Other than this issue the park is in a great location, facilities clean although old. Would be handy to include that there is limited access to clean drinking water. I couldn't find anything on the website before we went and we didn't take any containers for water.
Will visit again but on a quieter weekend.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that your latest visit to our Caravan Park was not as good as previous visits. We have some general park rules that are given to guests on arrival that every guest is expected to abide by, which include a rule about noise and behaviour. Unfortunately in this instance, it sounds like the neighbouring campsite didn't follow these rules and thus made the stay unpleasant for you. In situations like this, we encourage guests to contact Park management so we are aware and can help address any problems so that everyone can have an enjoyable stay. We hope you do decide to come back and enjoy all the park has to offer. Cheers!

The staff were very friendly, large sheltered carravan sites close to beach good for fishing or just nice walks . The prom just a little drive away but also close to dog friendly beaches such as Waratah and Sandy Point. We loved our stay at Yanakie Caravan Park

We spent a weekend here with friends. Craig was very helpful and went out of his way to ensure we had the best sites available. His coordination ensured our group had a cabin, a campsite and a caravan site all within 20 metres of each other. The park was spotless and well maintained. This park is right on the water with amazing views across to Wilsons Prom. Well worth a visit.

Yanackie is a beautiful park located close to Wilson’s Promontory. We found the sites to be huge and very private.

The staff were consistently wonderful to deal with and we loved staying here for a week.

Whilst the facilities are dated they are fit for purpose and we had no complaints.

Our only recommendation is the installation of a dump point (nearest is 30 km away).

We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The park is fabulous. The caravan park sites are grassy with lots of privacy. The amenities and service areas are clean. The beach is here at to walk and explore at low tide.
The drive to The Prom is east and we highly recommend staying here to explore The Prom by day.

We were lucky enough to spend 3 nights at this beautiful park. The sites are big and quite private, with the most amazing scenery and right on the beach. The amenities are really good very clean and tidy.
The staff were lovely, easy to talk to and very helpful. The park is only a 5min drive to Wilson’s Prom. I will definitely recommend anyone to stay at this gem of a park. Thanks for a great stay and hopefully we will be back soon.

Hi Eddie. Thank you so much for your question! We have a beautiful range of cabins that you can book. Depending on when you would like to stay, it should be no problem. We are already booked out over the Australia Day long weekend (21 - 26 January), but outside of that we will likely have something for you. If you head over to our website you'll be able to book online, or you can give us a call on (03) 5687 1295. Cheers!

Hi Womble, the closest takeaway is a pizza takeaway in Yanakie. More options are available in Fish Creek and Foster however (approx. 20 min drive from Yanakie Caravan Park). In regard to tips, we would suggest: - Making sure you have a good variety of clothing (weather can change quickly in Yanakie) - Bring along a torch for the kids so they can go for a night time stroll and look for wildlife - Activities for night time can be handy - Next week might still be a little cold but it might still be worth throwing in some swimming gear for paddling. The caravan park is right near the shoreline. We hope you have a great stay!

I have only stayed there, you would have to ring the Yanakie Caravan Park, but I doubt very much that you will get in as they a probably have yearly bookings by people as it is so popular and such a beautiful spot. No harm in trying though.
