Detailed Reviews
I'm absolutely blown away, what a amazing experience here. I was greeted with a free upgrade to an apartment. All staff, front of house, breakfast team and housekeeping were beyond helpful and friendly. The team member on reception when I was leaving even offered me a free coffee. The apartment was spotless and beautiful traditional decor, pool was so great too. The location is so quiet and peaceful.

Hotel is easy to find, just a short walk from the bus stop. I was surprised to find my room was actually a small kitchenette, even a tiny wood stove though I didn't need it on a warm Sept. evening. I had a corner room w/ very private patio, just a walk across the grass to the pool. Manager spoke Einglish, was friendly & helpful, also served as bartender. My room was quiet & comfortable, as was the residential neighborhood. Very good continental breakfast & wonderful coffee. Easy walk to shops & restaurants in Porto Covo along a gravel walking path near the hotel.

Decent place to stay if you're hiking the Fisherman's trail. Service left something to be desired - Ana was great when we arrived, but the guy at the front desk when we left kept me waiting for 15 minutes while he finished a phone call. About a 10 minute walk to the 'main street' which is about 5 blocks long.

Booked room number 18 that had a kitchen. Only later in the evening we found out there was a very strong smell coming from under the stove. First we thought it was our cheese in the fridge but it wasn't, the cheese was fine and something else wasn't. We were settled in and it was very late so we didn't request to get the room changed. Strong smell continued throughout the night. When we checked out we informed reception and their only comment was "I see". If you get checked into room 18 make sure they have done something about the smell in the meantime.

We stayed in Rosmarinho, a ground floor room with a terrace and sloping grass area. We were on a walking holiday and stayed one night. The pool was lovely, the room was great, breakfast started early at 7:30 which was handy for hiking, our brief visit was just perfect.

Driving down from Lisbon to the Algarve on a recent bank holiday weekend,we turned off on to the coast road and came by chance upon the charming little town of Porto Covo.It proved very difficult to find a hotel room but eventually we found the Hotel Porto Covo, tucked away round the back of a small residential area and well worth the search!
It is an immaculately kept fairly modern hotel built round a pool with excellent facilities for its size and the breakfast freshly prepared for each person was easily the best of our holiday.
The most memorable part though was the people. The staff were all very helpful and the owner with only very limited English was a star.My wife managed to leave her mobile under the bed and didnt realise until the next day.Despite the language difficulties and it being a holiday weekend ,they packaged it up and forwarded it to our next hotel wirhin 24 hours.A prize for honesty and efficiency!

I used to stay in this little hotel for almost ten years now, every now and then, when i have the opportunity to escape from Lisbon for some mini vacations. Porto Covo is a just a lovely tiny town, with the friendliest people you will ever meet. Good food (specially if you are a fish lover as i am) excellent views over the ocean, and the portuguese soul just at your hand ready to be discovered. The hotel is good, the architectural line mixed it with the countryside, very helpful staff, and nice clean rooms. This is a true hideout. Just dont tell everyone!

+1
Hotel is ideally situated in village at start of walking trail Rota Vincente through national park. The beaches, coves and coastal trails are stunning. My friend and I had double booked rooms. No problem, staff cancelled the extra room. They provided complementary breakfast and late checkout. They also advised on transport options. Pool is a bonus after a days walking or sightseeing in area.

We stayed here the night before starting to walk the rotavincentina. The accommodation is basic but very clean. It felt a bit damp. Location is very good close to town. Pool area is nice. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. There was some confusion at check in and took a while to sort out our room. It's ok for a night. At €74 I thought a little expensive for what we got.

Undoubtedly the best place to stay in Porto Covo. The receptionist (Anna) sets a new high standard for outstanding customer service and assistance. Great restaurant recommendations, and insights into the area and Portuguese culture. Plus she was a lifesaver when it came to arranging for transport of our luggage along the Rota Vicentina. The level of assistance was not even available at the Rota Vicentina tourist office. Note to manager: give that girl a raise. Thanks also to Carla for her help. Rooms are super clean, large, great shower, excellent breakfast with delicious scrambled eggs, fruit, yogurt, etc., etc. Plus, the room is equipped with a full kitchen, including dishes, pots, and pans. Overall an excellent place.
