It is a tasteful extremely clean, minimalist confortable bed &breakfast, as you may use anytime the kitchen to prepare a tea or a real expresso (machine+ capsule)+ cookies, and even use the fridge to cool extra drinks...no you cannot cook, still these are unusual perks. Breakfast is really good; my room was small but there are various sizes and prices, I guess...An enjoyable location in a sleepy village with wonderful views from your balcony, despite the ocasionnal barking dogs from the neigbours... and there are lovely small beaches and walking trails.

I booked O Lugar the day before I was due to arrive. They allowed me early check-in with a super warm welcome, a coffee, biscuits and loads of info on bus times. The room was super clean and a lovely view, WiFi is great. All in all, I'd highly recommend this place in Porto Covo.

O Lugar is definitely the perfect place to stay if you’re in Porto Covo. Accommodation and hosts are five stars, and words cannot describe the breakfast!!! Oh my god, just delicious. It couldn’t be better :)

Really great place for relaxing holidays. The room was spotlessly clean and big, lots of space to store your stuff, great balcony with lovely view on the cliffs and a bit of the sea, nice breakfast with regional food and caring hosts, Pedro, Ana and Cláudia were always friendly and available when we had questions. Highly recommended, we had a great time.

O lugar is a unique facility; looks like a beach house, provides basic services of a hotel. As Porto Covo doesn't have many luxury facilities, the hotel stands out in design and services. The owners are accommodating, communicative and welcoming. From a small breakfast, to magazines, to board games, the experience is a unique as its look.
