The best steak sandwich EVER. absolutely brilliant... cheery and friendly bar staff. The pint of thrapple douser was delicious. Great pub/hotel. Fettercairn is really pretty village worth a visit for the distillery and the fab food at the Ramsay Arms.

Booked this hotel because it was convenient for a trip we were making in the area It's a typical Scottish country hotel being brought into the twenty first century. It was pleasant enough - the rooms were clean with nice bedlinen and flat screen TV However the bathroom had nowhere to put your toiletries and there wasn't even a towel...

We had a great meal here. Very nice starters and we all had lovely main courses. All the meals served also looked really good. So good food and a great athmosphere. Lovely staff. I will greatly Recommend. A mix between locals and visitors at the pub.

A really nice country hotel with a warm welcome and good pub food. A very decent pint too! We viewed the rooms for future reference and was really impressed. If you're in the area and looking for a decent country hotel, RA would be worth considering.

On entering the Ramsay Arms Hotel, Fettercairn, we were welcomed by a very friendly receptionist. The reception area, hallway and staircase are all carpeted in a most attractive blue and green tartan and there are comfortable settees and chairs as well as a selection of Tiffany lamps which makes it a great place to relax with a newspaper and a...

A few changes since our last visit, more interesting menu and generally the whole place had a better feel to it. I had Toulouse sausages which were ok, but not brilliant, a better supplier should be found. My wife had cullen skink which she was impressed with. Service ,quick and smiling! Worth it for a simple lunch

Had a fantastic stay here. Special thanks to Vicky who went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was superb. Food and drink was excellent will definitely stay again. The surrounding area is a rare gem with breathtaking views. The only negative is that we don't want to leave.

Been going for meals at Ramsay Arms with my family for years and normally it's good but last night it was a real disappointment. The risotto rice was only partly cooked so I was literally crunching it. I managed to eat about a quarter of it but can't have any more. The most disappointing of it all was that even...

Spent 2 nights at the Ramsay Arms as part of wedding party in nearby Fasque House. The hotel itself is relatively basic, but clean and efficient. Friendly staff. Certainly the main (only?) watering hole for miles around. Fettercairn is very, very quiet so take a good book. The breakfast was good, and the pub food was solid. Not a bad...
