We stayed in Barlovento Tayrona this August, km 33.1 Via a Riohacha, but the place does not seem the same! I enclose pictures. The surroundings are espectacular, unfortunately the hotel is old, not taken care off, and the service poor. The owner is very nice and helpful, unfortunately he is not hands on the business. He delegates the management to... More

So I wish someone had written on here how far the beaches were from this place. The reason we stayed here was because we hadn't spent too much on the trip and we were kinda like hey when can we do this again. To get to the main beaches we walked for 10 minutes, took a 30 minute mule ride... More

Superb location and very comfortable accommodation. You are in the middle of a national park and so you have to be realistic about what to expect in terms of food etc. Beaches are beautiful although too dangerous to swim but where you can go in the sea the waves are massive. we were in ecohab 9 which is quite a... We stayed for one night as an anniversary celebration. I loved it. My girlfriend was a bit vexed because the power went off a few times, which means the ceiling fan stops and it gets really hot at night inside the Eco-hab if you have the screens closed. Overall. we expected a bit more for our money and it is... More

While a trip to Tayrona is still worthwile, The Stay in the Ecohab Hotel was a desception. Close to the Atlantic you get Pangasius Fish and Deep Fried dishes at dinner, nothing fresh but some fruits. Fantastic Position but low average infrastructure and services it was may be a good place to stay in the past but today it is... More

An absolutely amazing place to stay. In the middle of a national park these huts are just stunning. Don't let the phrase hut put you off - more luxury log cabin would probably be more accurate. The huts are set up the hill side in three groups or so; they're not integrated to each other in any way just nearer... More

We stayed at the Eco-Habs for two nights and I wish we had a third! We hiked and went to the beach during the day and relaxed at night. The hotel has an outstanding restaurant, which is the only dining option but you will not get bored. They serve a wonderful breakfast as well.

We had 3 nights here in number 9. It had lovely views of the sea and it was good to go to sleep to the sound of the waves. There is lots of wildlife to see including lizards, birds and ants! The cabins were comfortable, but with no hanging space and it was annoying to have to go outside and... More
