Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Picture this.......baked shoulder of lamb medallions with mint sauce and red currant jus, followed by tempranillo juice jelly and lemon posset, as these were a few of the delectable delights which awaited us on Friday. Then team it with WONDERFUL company, a good red wine on a large country veranda overlooking the forest, watching the kangaroos and listening to the melodic croaking of the little green tree frogs. Continue this picture with a big, soft bed and the comforting noise of the wind through the peppermint trees and complete it the following morning with the gentle awakening to kookaburras singing and the enjoyment of a beautiful fully cooked breakfast....doesn't get much better than that!

Went to the Ferguson Valley for a family wedding last weekend and stayed at Peppermint Lane. We had heard about it from a friend and read reviews on Trip Adviser. We decided to go down Friday and stay two nights. What an experience. Thank you Kim. We booked in for dinner on Friday night (recommended by friend) and partook of an amazing meal that bordered on a degustation. Home cooked to restaurant standard. Perfect. Missed Kim's husband Simon as he was overseas. Apparently he's the cook. That being the case, his food must be beyond comprehension. The lodge consists of four units that are appointed to 5 star standard. Magnificent outlook across the valley. Spotless and tasteful decor. Quiet! Never heard our neighbours. The whole atmosphere is warm and friendly and

Peppermint Lane Lodge is set in the beautiful Ferguson Valley which is WA's best kept secret in my opinion. We have visited the valley several times but this was our first stay at Peppermint Lane. It is situated in the heart of the valley and surrounded by lots of fantastic winery's, brewery's and restaurants. We manged to sample quite a few on this trip: Ferguson Hart Estate, Mandalay, Angelicus, the Green Door and Hackersley for a superb degustation lunch. Our hosts at Peppermint Lane, Kim and Simon, welcomed us like old friends into their home. We opted to have an evening meal with them, and we were so glad that we did. Kim and Simon are fantastic cooks and we were treated to an absolute feast to compliment some of the wonderful wines we had sampled earlier in the day. Kim

Having you stay with us was fun. Easy to enjoy your stay when we are all into food and wine......all that there is waiting for you was the Ferg Valley exploration to find your unvisited places with our local knowledge. Thanks for staying.

We stayed at Peppermint Lane Lodge for 4 nights and it simply wasn't long enough - we could have stayed for a month! The surroundings are stunning, naturally beautiful and it was great to feel nestled away in the forests. Kim and Simon are fantastic hosts, and completely nail the country retreat experience. The degustation we were treated to on our first night was divine - local produce, beautifully made dishes which were zesty and wholesome. We would highly recommend that you opt for dinner at some point, or on several nights. While the surrounding local wineries have great food options (Green Door is one of many), they close at around 5pm. We found a couple of Taverns, the Dardy was a real experience(!), but Kim's kitchen is the best (sorry Kim!). Although the Lodge feels

We stayed at the Lodge for a week. The first night we had dinner with our hosts; an extra cost as would be expected of a B & B and worth every penny! Kim and Simon put on a gourmet extravaganza and everything was just heavenly. The room was quite comfortable with everything supplied, including lots of DVDs and books, with more available in the main house. Breakfasts were another great experience as well, with fresh fruit, muesli and yoghurt to start and then eggs, bacon tomatoes, etc. Everything was extremely tasty and very fresh! Outside the balcony was a huge paddock where we saw kangaroos nibbling on the grass and some bunnies racing madly about. The Lodge is located close to most of the wineries in the region and our hosts were able to give us a run-down on the places

We enjoyed another night's stay as part of Lorraine's week long 50th birthday celebration - and PLL was always going to be on the "must do" list for the week! Kim was away for the week but Simon was again the consummate host - our room was perfect upon our arrival. We enjoyed a trip to nearby Gnomesville (larger than ever!), a walk in the forest, and then a quiet sit on the verandah watching the sun go down over the river whilst sharing a bottle of Dom Perignon and a selection of cheeses. Deluxe. We really enjoyed the evening with Simon over a beautifully prepared meal of beef cheeks, a fine Bordeaux, many stories and the odd guffaw! It's amazing how the country air, the dark night sky and a beautifully comfortable bed make for a wonderful nights' sleep too. The morning's

This place is all you would reasonably expect in terms of location and facilities, but two things make it stand out. Firstly the hosts Kim and Simon, who are immensely helpful and friendly without being intrusive. A few other hosts in SW of WA manage this too, but not with quite the relaxed informal manner of Simon and Kim. Secondly, the food. The breakfasts were great (bacon you can really taste, ditto mushrooms), but the dinner was sublime. Terrine to die for and beetroot and wasabi that helped you on your way to heaven (and I don't usually like beetroot); then there was the lemon posset, and so on. Simon and Kim being francophiles, by the end of dinner we had collectively organised our next holiday in France! No it's not cheap, and maybe there are even more luxurious places

The perfect place to enjoy the picturesque Ferguson Valley. Lovely hosts, yummy gourmet food, beautiful and spacious accommodation and simply magical views and atmosphere. We are already thinking about when we can return. While we spent only two nights, we felt as if we had had a much longer holiday it was so relaxing and divine. As well as enjoying the sumptuous breakfasts, we were so glad to have had a lovely dinner as well. And there are so many things to see and do in the area, like bush walks, gallery visits, winery lunches, ... Well done Kim and Simon our lovely hosts

I had the privilege of staying at Peppermint Lane Lodge last night. From the moment I arrived I was greeted with a welcome with the best of country hospitality. Taken to my room which was a beautiful mix of welcoming and country comfort. It was the little touches that touched my heart. Little freshly picked flowers from the garden surrounds places around the unit. Lip balm was complimentary - loved the practicality and so handy. My own balcony to relax and listen to the cacophony of bird songs to the visiting grey fantail perching on the rail. The host took me on a tour of the remaining sculptures from their special community event. What a joy to experience. Then having my evening meal in their home.... It was as if I was family popping in for a catch up. Absolutely loved my
