I was there with my son a couple of years ago and we had a memorable time. Though we slept in a tent on the site, it was clean, safe, and quiet. Staff were polite and firendly. Gil was very helpful with tour info for the area. Showers were spotless. We think about that time often. Special atmosphere in the...

We stayed with our family (2 adults and 3 children) in one of the cabins. Had a great time! Gill is very helpful. The desert tour with the landrover was a great experience, don't miss it. The boys loved the desert cooler.

We have slept in the 'honeymoon-bus' last november. In the evening relaxing with the other guests around a campfire, speeking with Israeli soldiers which came from their camp in the surroundings specially to Shkedi's Camplodge for good talks and fun, a welcoming owner. All these ingredients makes it to a very pleasant place in the Dead Sea surroundings. One of...

Great desert experience! Although my wife is not a "camping-style-holiday" lover, we liked it a lot. And that is the best compliment one can give ! :-) The place is immaculate clean (showers, toilets, kitchen), which is hard to believe considering being in a desert (literally!). The bed in our AC cabin was better then in most "regular" hotels! Nice...

After all these great reviews we decided to test it :-) Our experience was just amazing as the reviews. Great atmosphere, relaxed people, nice relaxing music over the camp. Gil the owner is nice guy, who invited us for mutual dinner with his family and friends. We have been in "Honeymoon Bus" which I highly recommend. It has it all...

Even though we only stayed one evening, we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Upon arrival in the afternoon, the owner welcomed us with coffee, a bottle of wine that had been left behind and he started up the air conditioning in the Bedouin style lounge area. Our cabin was clean and creative. Even though the kitchen was crowded at dinner time,...

In my opinion the desert in the area around Shkedi's Camplodge is beautiful. If you like the desert, a place to meet other people, good conversations with Gili about Israel, a lot of fun in the desert (i.e. a Jeep-tour) and swimming in the dead see then you should definitely visit Shkedi's Camplodge. Actually it is a must if you...
