So I organised a family birthday party for a week here - from the very beginning the hotel staff particularly Khun A were brilliant - answering all manner of questions and making everyone feel safe and looked after. Nothing was too much trouble. Khun Kong and the restaurant team are awesome, thoughtful and work the small details - a credit to the industry. So for the party (10 rooms) I prescouted all the hotels in Railay the month before. In my view the challenge with most hotels is the rooms are on flat ground just above sea level so basically you have a view of the Bungalow next door or opposite - not very private and they do pack em in in some resorts. Diamond Cave is different - it’s situated up a small slope above the restaurant so you have an amazing view only restricted by beautiful tropical palms. IF YOU STAY IN THE V rooms. These are spacious, marble flooring and all have balconies or a terrace. Beds are large a bit hard but comfortable. Better hard than soft - a bed topper would improve this. The bathrooms are not modern and the shower is an electric heater but it does the job. Some rooms have flat screen TVs others have museum pieces but who watches tv anymore when we have Netflix etc on phones and iPads etc. No safe in the room but lockers at hotel reception. There are shortcut paths to West Railay following the cliff at the back. My biggest challenge is poor state of the plastic loungers at the pool. They are the “fall apart as you sit in them” type but the wooden loungers are fine. I would recommend the hotel invests in some lounger mattresses and gets rid of the poor plastic things - just get more wooden ones. In fact the hotel could do with a few more cushions in the rooms too - all a bit hard wood. Aircon in room is very powerful I stayed in V304. Overall I would definitely be back - love the peace and quiet and the views - loved the staff and the fact that everything was nearby - laundry, pedicure atm shop restaurant etc. Thank you Khun A and Khun Kong and team for a wonderful two week stay. My family went home with indelible memories of a beautiful place and lovely people. All the best and buy some Cushions!!

Spacious room with two double beds. Good internet. Good buffet breakfast. The breakfast staffs was so friendly. Not well maintained hotel. The bathroom sink was clogged. Among the available glasses, one of them was dirty. The room is too hot, just the small fan was not enough. No English channels on TV. They require a cash bond of $1,000 baht.

We stayed for 2 night and it was perfect. The island is only small and we were aware that a walk was required to get here but the location and bungalow was perfect for a short trip. The staff were very friendly and cleaned the room when required. The area is very quiet at night - other than the occasional monkey!
