Blanco Hideout Railay offers everything. Whether you're looking to kick back around the pool with a couple of cocktails or join in with bar crawls and Muay Thai events, Blanco has you covered.

Upon my first arrival at Blanco I was welcomed by a friendly Swedish girl (Tony) who helped me check-in, told me about the local area and asked if I would like to join in with the bar crawl that evening. I really appreciated how chilled everything was when I declined the bar crawl (which I later joined - it's awesome!) I felt listened to and respected. I have stayed at other places where they have been pushy towards the events, this doesn't happen at Blanco, they value your opinion.

Walking to my room, I entered the pool area. With plenty of sun loungers available, a bar offering an extensive list of cocktails, beers and local spirits I was presented by one of the best views of Railay East, it is so beautiful!

The rooms at Railay are a decent size the beds are comfortable and all of them offer some kind of pool view. It is worth paying a little bit extra for the sea view dorms as the front of the room has a place to relax, unwind and take in the stunning views of Railay.

In the evening I met the team of reps. Celine, Steve and Lauren. These guys made my whole experience! I can't thank this group of welcoming, friendly, enthusiastic, funny and good looking group of people enough. They are so understanding, supportive and caring, without them my stay at Blanco wouldn't have been the same.

I highly recommend staying at Blanco, I met the best group of people there, it truly is the perfect piece of paradise.

A good place for solo backpackers looking for travelbuddies or partying.

Staff was friendly and coordinates party activities for guests. Although partying and smoking weed does not interest me, I still found my stay at the Blanco to be positive.

It is very easy to approach and get to know new people in the hostel! The location is really close to the pier and both Railay West and Phra Nang Beach are within walking distance. Also a great climb to the viewpoint and lagoon, which is a must!

The pool was very nice which improves the overall grade. However wifi was basically non-existant in areas besides the lounge, including the rooms which was disapointing.

Also even though the hostel is quiet at night you will hear music playing in pubs, so bring earplugs if you are sensitive.

This is for sure one of the best hostels i've stayed at during my trip to asia. The location is perfect with only a 10 min walk to either of the beaches and if you want to try rock climbing it's just around the corner. The pool area is great too and a perfect spot to connect with other travellers. As a solo traveller I really enjoyed this place because of its social vibe. The staff was also great at arranging social activities and games to get people together. I want to give a big shoutout to Steve, Lauren and Celíne. You guys are amazing! I was only going to stay at Blancos for a few days but I ended up staying for a really long time. I would recommend this place to anyone who's thinking of going to Railay and I will definitely come back during my next trip!

I stayed in Krabi for 4 nights. It's the only hostel in Railay beach.
The bedrooms are basic and small, the bathroom is very basic.
The staff is very nice. I did find it strange that there were no Asian person at the reception. It's Asia.
They suggest to do pub crawls. I didnt' do it but : 1) there is only 1 hostel, so if you're thinking you're going to meet young people, it's unlikely 2) there are like 2 bars there, so the pub crawl is very basic.
They suggest to do a buffet :
If you just arrived and want to meet people, I recommend it, it's a good way to meet the people in your hostel.
The food is basic and surprising (EG. Serving spaghetti bolognzse with fried rice and fried chicken).
I also did the island hopping/boat party (with food included) :
The music wasn't great, you still had to buy alcohol on the boat, the food served was the food from the day before in the hostel (fried chicken, fried rice, spaghetti bolognese), we just stopped in the middle of the sea, never on a beach which was never far but there were only 2 kayaks to get there so obviously hardly anyone could reach the beach, except if you were willing to swim that far.
In other words, keep your money for a real island hopping (usually around 1300 baht),where you'll do snorkeling, tanning, and will eat good food (fresh salads, fruit, not fried chicken).
I took my breakfast once at the hostel : it wasn't great, and it was expensive for what it was. The juice I took was full of sugar and ice.
I would recommend to stay there for a few days to explore the island bc it's budget friendly and its a pretty hostel, even if the bedrooms could be improved. There a few things to do in Railay beach.
I don't know why but I met the most unfriendly people there.

Only stayed for 1 day and wish I didn't have to move on. This hostel has everything; views, a pool, and DJs! The rooms are similar to personal hotel shacks that have been converted into shared rooms. They have lots of space with an en suite and overlook the ocean. The pool is large enough that people play pool games inside while music is played nearby. Definitely recommend visiting this hostel, I will be back next time I'm in Thailand!

Railey beach is a beautiful treat
And Blanco hostel is a great place for people to meet,
Where I sit on the deck on the comfortable seat
Overlooking the ocean with Thai massaged feet.
Though the stairs may be long
It’s about the journey.
For the view at the top
Is incredibly worthy
As I sip on my coffee,
Cool wind in my hair
I find my hangovers cured
With sweet sweet sea air.
The staff are all geezas and shielas alike
I now just wish I could stay one more night.
Tucked in the corner of this beautiful scene
Blanco hostel, has the best hostel team

We stayed in Railay for 3 nights in a 6 bed mixed dorm. The first thing we noticed in the dorm were the stains and damp feeling of the bed linen. The towels were also stained (like bleach stains). The door of the bathroom gets stuck so wakes up the whole dorm if someone uses the loo during the night. The water in the shower worked sporadically, however when we notified staff they fixed it and were helpful throughout our stay.

The view from the pool area is amazing. The pool and seating area are also very nice to relax in.

Overall we felt it wasn't good value for money and was overpriced.

From check in til check out Blanco was phenomenal! The staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is upbeat and comfortable. Blanco offers tons of activities that are alll worth doing but The BOAT PARTY IS A MUST!!! You stop at 4 islands throughout the tour, spend the day exploring caves, snorkeling, and everyone dances til sunset. By far the best hostel I’ve stayed at - The Blanco team really makes Railay beach a worthwhile trip.

Blanco Hideout Railay is a wonderful hostel with an amazing view over the water and limestone cliffs. It's a great place to be social, hang out by the pool, and meet backpackers of alI kinds (especially because it's the only hostel in Railay). There are fun events held by the hostel every day, and it is also very close to adventure spots that you can check out on your own or with new friends. Pranang Beach and West Beach are each just a ten minute walk away, and there are several hikes to viewpoints, a secret lagoon, into caves, and through the jungle that are really beautiful. Swimming with the bioluminescent plankton is also a must!

I ended up staying at Blanco much longer than I originally intended and I made some lifelong friends during my time there. I also got to know Railay is a beautiful place with so much to do, and I will definitely be coming back to this hostel in the future. Shout out to Celine, Lauren, and Steve for truly making Blanco feel like home! I'm already missing my time there and would highly recommend this hostel to anyone traveling to Railay :)

A cool place to stay for sure! The staff are very warm welcoming and helpful! The room is nice and clean, I stayed in the 6 beds room for 4 nights. Everything was fine. The hostel also provides group activities to mingle with people, however the best part is the swimming pool and the chilled zone where you can enjoy the nice view!!
