Booked here after not many campgrounds available due to the new year and arrived to very rude service before walking into the door. No excuse for being rude to us and we were told they don't want our bad attitudes and people like "us" at their campground for no apparent reason other than us chatting while waiting to be served......

We decided to stay at Ruakaka on our way up north (I grew up coming here every year) and everything remains unchanged and classic which we love. The views amazing as always, however, a great stay needs to be matched with great service. Unfortunately from day dot one lady was extremely rude and derogatory. We did at the beginning get...

My friend Victoria and I were on a road trip just to finish our year of University off with a fun thing. We were on our way up to Whangarei but wanted to check things out on the way so we had arranged to stay at Ruakaka Beach Holiday Park. We had booked to stay for one night, but unfortunately...

My friend Sarah Tuia and I packed up for the weekend (November 2016) and we made our way up to Ruakaka from Auckland. We got stuck on a detour/traffic which set us back an extra 1.5 hrs, not arriving until 9pm which is long past the reception hrs of operation. The lovely lady (owner) at Reception was super understanding and...

Beautiful view from campsite, friendly and extremely helpful staff. After leaving I found that I had left a bath towel drying at campsite, called and was informed that it would be available washed, dried and folded upon my return.

My husband and I have just spent a night at this camp in our motorhome and it was amazing. We had a beachfront site and there was always something going on on the beach to watch. The only problem we had was that we didn't understand that once we turned our laptop off we would lose all the data we...

Great location, and friendly staff. The cabin we stayed in was very new, clean and nice. But... - This is the only site I have been where you have to PAY for cooking and showers, this is 2016, not the 1960s! I havent been to somewhere like this since I was a kid - The facilities are not worth paying...

Great place to camp. Handy to the beach. Kids loved the playground. Well run camp. Facilities were clean and always had hot water. Had everything we needed with the boat - boat wash and fish filleting station. Definately plan to return.
