Ballinwillin House is situated on an estate at the end of a quiet suburban road, with secure access. We stayed in the Courtyard building adjacent the main house which has a number of nicely decorated rooms, together with a residents lounge and kitchen. It would definitely also suit small groups and those who want to self-cater for their evening meals.... More

This is no ordinary B&B, this a is a unique opportunity to experience one pleasurable surprise after another. There's a great buzz about the place and good grub to go with it. Others have complimented the hosts on the excellence and comfort of the bedrooms/bathrooms. I endorse their remarks. But it's in the farm house kitchen where you'll see how... More

We are from Dublin and were in Cork for a Classic Toyota event in Fermoy. The family at Ballinwillin House were absolutely lovely hosts. We weren't too familiar with the area and they helped us find out information about local activities that we were looking into. They made us feel comfortable around them while still allowing us our privacy as... More

This B&B was amazing! Clean and comfortable room, great breakfast, very friendly family and a perfect middle location between Kilkenny and Cork. We really enjoyed looking at the red deer and enjoying a night in a small town. You won't be disappointed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ballinwillin house. My family and I stayed on the 30th May. Miriam was an excellent host and made a huge effort to make us feel welcome. We stayed in the main house which was immaculate and the homemade food was excellent. The bedrooms were spacious and luxurious and each had a new ensuite. Would... More

We stayed here during a family history trip. This is the first time that we have actually stayed in Mitchelstown as usually we pass through. Miriam was just the best ever host - so warm, friendly and helpful. Miriam offered a cup of tea and biscuits on arrival. Breakfast was delicious with the best fruit bowl and a tremendous cooked... Large room with decent sized bathroom/shower. Very clean and comfortable. Owner greeted us warmly. Breakfast was simply superb. Pat told us great information about their farm, what they do there and what animals they have there, etc while we ate a super tasty breakfast! Would not hesitate in recommending this place to anyone considering it.

Arrived at the B and B quite late but received a warm welcome and a cup of tea by the owner. The bedroom was perfect and the house was in a great location- couple of minutes walk into town. Breakfast was fantastic and was even better due to the fact everything was organic and made at the farm. I was... More

At a farm on the outskirts of Mitchelstown. I had a very large and comfortable room, well furnished and fitted out. The owners are very attentive and helpful, especially considering they have a farm to run. The farm has wild boar and deer, so there are some animal smells and noises, as you would expect. The breakfast was really excellent,... More
