smoked sadinas
The Iberians
Chickpeas with shrimp and squid.
Lamb and game dishes
Good Extremeños wine.
Until the dessert.
The waiters are attentive and good professionals like in few places here
The rest of the meal also lived up to a good meal, very good and in fair quantity (no ridiculous dishes). You could share everything.
A tenner for Cheff and service
10 minutes from Villanueva de la Serena
We stayed the weekend of 27-28/07 and the hotel was very quiet even though it was the village fair.
Very spacious room, comfortable beds, good cleaning and great treatment of all your employees
The pool very nice and quiet
We were looking to disconnect and it's perfect for it.
The right breakfast and the great price
Problems:
inadequate showers, door lintels in bedrooms too low, causing injuries to our party, tv and microwave so old as to be nearly unusable, supplied cutlery of poor standard, thin pillows, linen coarse, swimming pool infested with wasps, no air conditioning, dish washing facilities consisted of a plastic basin sitting on the bench, no proper provision of rubbish bags, owners living adjacent were often overseeing our activities making us feel uncomfortable, dirt road access
Good:
Swimming pool (apart from the wasps), security, substantial grounds
Reception staff were very pleasant, to the extent of suggesting that they would print out our boarding cards in the morning as the internet corner pc did not have a printer attached,
The cafe was quiet, in fact the hotel was quiet. The room was adequate, the ground floor unfortunately has bars on the window, security I know but it gave a certain.....prison feel.
The cafe supplied a perfectly good evening meal and the breakfast was again, adequate, once I mastered the coffee machine. The warm food I left alone, cold food was the usual fare. We were the only people in for breakfast so it was decidedly quiet.
Couldn't fault anything really, a good stop over, easily accessible.
The vaulted ceilings in the bedrooms very a very good touch.
The pool was full of clear water but not "open for the season". Considering it was almost 100F, this was quite annoying.
The food and beverage services were only available when the cafeteria was open, which wasn't much of the time when we were actually there.
The front desk was very helpful.
Rental car essential.
I thought the place was good value for money. Breakfast was included.
