We are still in residence at the New Inn , but such is our satisfaction this review can't wait ! Firstly the welcome, just say we could have been family, and our booking requirement including twin room and parking etc , faultless. Without exception, the staff at this inn have proved themselves to be dedicated solicitous and charming. The room...

The Hotel has a lively bar and its own restaurant, very busy at weekends. The car park at the rear is large, but can fill up when the restaurant is busy. There is additional restricted parking at the front, on-street. No steps from the front but there is one at the back. The bedrooms are at first floor and the...

A warm and friendly welcome at this fantastic historical Inn, great room and great 10/10 breakfast. The pub has a great selection of Beers and Ales, the owners are friendly, helpful and accommodating, this will be my future location when doing business in the area.

From the minute we entered the door and felt the buzz and saw the open fire we knew we had chosen well. Even our fussy teenage daughter cleared her plate and dish. Ths menu features lots of pub favourites, traditional dishes and lots of fish specials. We enjoyed our visit and will certainly return when we're next in the area.

Have stayed here a few times. Clean and reasonable size rooms. Well cooked breakfast. Proper pub bar with great real ales and welcome atmosphere. The restaurant is always busy too, and offer a varied selection of wholesome home cooked locally sourced foods.

Mid afternoon travelling on the A170 toward Thirsk, looking for something good to eat. Stopped at the New Inn, not disappointed I had great fish and chip and my wife had the lemon sole. Well worth a try if your that way and just on the corner with main road.

Village is lovely stayed over Saturday night and booked sunday lunch. Rooms nice and clean, cosy and lovely looking traditional cosy bar and restaurant area. Sunday lunch was fairly average, small portions, over cooked veg and the mash potatoes under the meat was smash I am sure, it tasted very much like instant and weren't mentioned on the menu but...
