Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Ideal fantastic environment for a complete (mental) fitness with several active opportunities to spend your day : hiking, mountain biking, wellness, Desfiladero Teverga, ...
Luxurious accommodation that may be somewhat less functional due to the pursuit of the authenticity of this historic building, but this also provides a nice contrast to redefinition with the back to basics principle.

The hospitality and personal approach of Miriam and Monica also immediately give a warm home feeling.
Delicious cuisine but rather limited number of menus, however the choices are more than sufficient for a few days

Very nice location, instaworthy rooms, hugely spacious, very nice supper, well served. Great room service. If there is some coffee and tea in the rooms. Furthermore, you had to ask everything, did not know that there was a GR to follow in the area...

The place is heavenly, the comfort of the superior room, ummmm leaves something to be desired. It's pretty but, without a coffee maker, without complimentary water. No mirror to see your entire body (essential in hotel accommodations) Barely any lighting in the bathroom mirror and the height of the mirror above the sink faucet, excessively high.
There is also no space to place toiletries since the sink is excessively large without even leaving space for a razor blade. Anyway,... nice design but lack of functionality.

There are three things that left us super surprised about this hotel. First of all the views and tranquility (it is very rare to be in a place from where you only see mountains and countryside, not a single house on the horizon, just peace. Even if you go to the countryside, you usually get an ugly or broken house. Here's like standing in front of a postcard). Secondly, the decoration and details. There are small works of art in every corner, and amazing finishes. When we asked, we learned that the hotel has won an interior design award and is also inspired by a Japanese philosophy called wabi sabi. And finally, the attention. It is a rural hotel and therefore it is not like a hotel of a large chain in a city, where there is someone in reception 24 hours. However, it seems as if they are there at all times. From the beginning they take care of you, with a welcome drink, learning if you have any intolerance, pampering you with every detail.... The deal was unbeatable. We'll be back for sure.

Huge rooms different from each other and all with a very romantic charm. The beds are unbeatable, with exceptional quality textiles and unparalleled comfort. The charm is completed with a fireplace that gives you light and warmth in each room.
As if that weren’t enough the environment doesn’t leave you indifferent. At the foot of Llanuces and overlooking the Ubiñas Natural Park, you seem to be floating among the mountains.

I booked the unique suite at $667 a day and was looking forward to using the sauna and jacuzzi. I had prepaid for the four night stay which came to about $2700. Upon checking in I tried to reserve the sauna and jacuzzi for two and was told it’s 90€ per visit for two and 45€ for one! An argument ensued and there is more that I won’t go into. It’s a pretty spot but only five rooms are open out of 11. Food so so. Can’t see how they will stay in business. Too bad but I’m out 3300€. Everything is a la carte. You have been warned.

I have been at solo palacio to celebrate my anniversary. It was a delightful magical stay. The place is great and the people amazing. The views are like nothing I have seen before, and the gastronomical offerings in the restaurant are up to par. Definitely recommended

The hotel is fantastic, in the middle of yhe mountains with beautiful views in an old restored house.
The rooms are very comfortable, the service is excellent and delicious breakfast.
We also enjoyed the spa overlooking the mountains. Will be back soon!

We were a couple of couples making a trip through the north of Spain, improvising in terms of accommodation, and ended up in Solo Palacio. It was a discovery, of those sites that since then we recommend to anyone who passes through Asturias. Super comfortable beds, good views, a breakfast of ten and next door a tiny but very well preserved village. Good job!

Disappointing! We started on a bad note when the night before we were to arrive we received an email informing us the spa was closed during our stay. The main reason we booked was to use the spa, a spa that we had including in our booking that we made the week before. I would have expected us to have been informed much sooner. When we called to complain they did agree to open the spa for us but with limited functionality. But it gets worse….. During our journey we were then told the spa closes at 19:00 and this closing time cannot be changed. We were not due to arrive until after 19:00. It gets worse still…… When booking you are able to select your room, this we did. We selected room 5 but when we arrived we were given room 3. The room that no one would want. 15th century building, someone above you. Not a good combination for a good night’s sleep. When we challenged the hotel over the room they simply ignored our claim that we had booked room 5 and not room 3. Only just falling short of branding us liars! We were stuck. It was dealt with in an appalling way. No empathy shown. No consideration for maybe a faulty booking system. Just that we were wrong! We decided to leave the very next day. Had we not had a glass of cider upon arrival we would have left that night. Upon checkout no apology was offered, no effort of any compensatory offer. Nothing, just two girls travelling for a relaxing 2 days after a busy summer with work being taken advantage of. Being charged for the full stay! Buyer also beware! You are only told that the spa and breakfast are not included in the room rate after you have booked. You are invited to add this onto your booking after you are already committed, at extra cost. Also the rooms do not have showers, or the one we had did not. They have a tiny bath, ours in a tiny room, with a hand held shower head. Certainly not conducive to a relaxing long shower after a difficult journey. Also don’t be misled by the ‘wabi-sabi’ claim. The pictures flatter the rooms immensely. They are finished to a low standard with poor quality fittings and very poorly appointed. We’re currently renovating a 300 year old stone pazo in Galicia. We’re embracing the beauty of its imperfections, whilst ensuring a high standard of finish on new fittings and not simply using ‘wabi-sabi’ as an excuse for quick, cheap, low quality work. If you have low standards you will love this place. But if you are hoping for even an ounce of what the web site claims with its write up and pictures I’m afraid you will be hugely disappointed. Avoid! We will never return.
