This hotel or whatever you want to call it is probably the worst place we have ever stayed at. We had 2 nights booked here however we ended up leaving after 1 night as we couldn't think of staying here another night. The room felt like it was out of the movie 'saw'. It's as bad as it gets however...

We wanted to attend the Christmas Eve Mass at the Se Cathedral and the location of this hotel was very convenient - walking distance from the Old Goa churches. But that's about it. I have stayed in government-run hotels before - Hassan in Karnataka being the most recent - and I did not expect such a terrible experience. The rooms...

We've been here as a small group of friends for dinner and it was a good experience. The service was quick and the food delicious. The prices for the various dishes too weren't that high but rather reasonable. It was clean snd hygienic, unlike other residencies. My friend's family lived here... and they had good experience stay wise so all...

Had been to Old Goa Residency. The Hotel is location is very good. Even for people who dont own vehicle. Its off the main road. Good and helpful Staff, specially at the reception. There is also Hotel Samaan attached to this hotel. The food requires improvisation though, but clean hotel and quick service. Airport is about 30-45 mints from here...

We booked a room online for old Goa residency at goa-tourism.com. My wife got sick so we called the office to ask how much cancellation charge it will be if we cancel (booking was on the same day). They said it was 25%, so we cancelled, booked another night at our stay and cancelled also our train ticket. A few...

This is one of the few hotel options in Old Goa. It is managed by the Goa Tourist Board (so somewhat trustworthy), and is also used for conferences. It is a safe and secure environment, with guards at the entrance. It has an attached restaurant with quick room service. While the exterior of the facility looks ok, the rooms are...

We opted to stay here because it was close to the churches in Old Goa that we wanted to visit. We went in Dec 2014 during the exposition and we were very happy that all the churches were within walking distance from the hotel. The rooms were basic but clean and the bath and toilet was spacious and clean and...

The problem with most government run places is the service and they are badly maintained. Here he service is average and sluggish, although a few staffers are pleasant. The lawns and plants are nice, but the rooms are not so well kept. One of the rooms smelt of pesticide, another room was damp and had a musty smell. There are...

Cockroaches running everywhere, no kettle or drinking hot water facility, bathroom towels not taken away, no floor mats provided, soaps not refilled, no area to keep brush or a holder, no toilet paper holder, toilet paper not changed in the bathroom, even when we ask for anything, no one bothers to send it unless we go to the desk. My...

This was a no nonsense place hence a no nonsense review. Let me start by rating straight up a 2/5 to this old residency. I was putting up at their standard room with AC What works for this place - 1. It CHEAP! By all means. 2. The two biggest attractions in Old Goa are walking distance away 3. Its...
