The warmth and hospitality at Darbargadh Poshina filled our weekend with beautiful memories. The lovely farms, enchanting tribal stories, rustic palace with modern comfort, home cooked meals, evening drive through the village....what else do you need for the relaxing weekend. It was simply amazing!!
If you wish to indulge in an experience of a pet-friendly heritage property, delectable traditional non-vegetarian delicacies, pastoral landscape, friendly tribals, great hospitality of the royals and rich history of Poshina - Darbargadh can be your perfect weekend escape. Pros - 1) They cook for your pets, on request, without a hassle 2) The allotted rooms for guests with pets are not clutched with furniture, allowing easy movement and views from the windows/corridor 3) The local market and tribal interiors have a lot to explore, especially during Holi/Diwali 3) You can explore on your own, but the local representatives from the Palace can accompany you, whenever required 4) The hosts are always around with enriching conversations and warmth 5) The staff is hired from the nearby villages, giving the stay a pleasant local flair 6) Highlight of the stay - Bhana ji and his indulging stories about the tribal traditions Extras - 1) We also took a drive to Rajasthan that is 12 km from the Palace, in awe with the terrain. 2) Walked through the local market to bring home votive terracotta horses 3) Relished the native cucumber, sourced from the Garasia tribe…

The resort is the best place to spend time with your loved ones we went there as a group of friends . The place was very neat and well maintained. The staff was polite and helpful. The food was YUM and the kitchen was also well maintained. We enjoyed there a lot and would suggest everyone to visit the palace atleast once. The one's who love heritage are really gonna love the place.
Everything about our stay was an absolute delight. The building is historic and fascinating with modern comforts. We were given our choice of rooms which was great - good room and en-suite with covered veranda. Food was good, authentic and chosen to suit our tastes. Everything was memorable especially being given a wholehearted welcome by the Maharajah and his family. The Prince personally took on an enlightened tour of local villages and temple - thank you for your time and knowledge. We would love to return and unreservedly recommend.
