We've been staying here for 12 years on our frequent journeys between the UK and Austria. The food is always excellent, the choice of wines by the glass is good, and value for money is outstanding. The Gasthof is quietly situated but easily accessible, and very relaxing. The lovely owners are frequently making small improvements to enhance the bedrooms, which are roomy and comfortable. It's always a good sign that it's a favourite place for locals. Unreservedly to be recommended! More

We stumbled upon this hidden gem while driving to a WW2 battlefield nearby. We were exhausted and decided at the spur of the moment to see if they had rooms available. We were lucky, and they did, and at a most reasonable price (the best of our trip so far). The rooms are large, the beds are queen size, with nice duvets, and a half-canopy overhead. It is clean, it is modern, and the surroundings are stunning. Each room has a large balcony and view of the local mountains. We had dinner at the restaurant downstairs. The service was excellent, the staff friendly, and the food delicious. We had some very good luck to find a place like this without any research in advance. Highly recommend. More

“Our favourite room is 1, it has a lobby area containing the wardrobe and feels like a suite rather than a room.”
