Location: on top of the hill, 2 minutes down to the beach, amazing view of the Indian Ocean, the mountains and the moon reflected on the see. Rooms : we had the family suit - amazing !!! it is huge, clean, hot water in the shower, 2 balconies . Food; the food was ok. I am vegetarian - not a lot for me to eat. (the chef did try) breakfast was very simple. negative: after we payed what we agreed (according to the email they sent prior to our arrival), they asked us to pay for extra 2 beds in the room , for each bed per night (we stayed 7 nights). We booked a Family Suit, meaning there are 4 beds at the room, so why to pay twice ?!

i stayed at the hotel during May 2019 and had an awesome time. The rooms are well furnished and weel maintained. The food is good and the beer is cold, what more can you ask for. There is beautiful views from all over the hotel. Great deck at restaurant and pool overlooking the beach, bay and sea.

The road to the hotel is absolutely awful but getting there is worth it. I have room six which has spectacular views of the beach and ocean. My room is very spacious with queen size bed with mosquito netting with a bench at the foot of the bed, two chairs, one sofa chair, safe, hot water maker, good size bathroom with a shower looking the bay( nobody can see you) and a very big balcony with two chairs, sofa chair with coffee table. And there is a refrigerator with some drinks and a good size desk. The drawbacks: you definitely can hear the oceans waves crashing against the shoreline, the water pressure can be weak if everybody uses the shower at the same time, the Wifi can slow down to a trickle if everybody gets on line. The place has its own restaurant. I highly recommend the Duck for the main course. It is excellent. While you are in Madagascar, you must try the vanilla ice cream- incredible. Unfortunately, this restaurant is out of the ice cream.

During my stay in Fort-Dauphin, I had lunch at Talinjoo. Besides the memorable panoramic view of Libanona beach, I could play the piano freely and sip my papaya juice. The staff was very homely. Unfortunately, I did not have time to peruse the books of their stunning library. I Will come back next week for more photos
