My wife & I had several reasons for wishing to take a short break in the Derbyshire area - family in Derby, my wife attending a Jonathan Moseley flower arranging one day course in Ashover near Chesterfield and visiting various parts of the Peak District (Bakewell, Matlock Bath & Chatsworth). This hotel provided a super base with an excellent restaurant,...

Stayed here with my daughter - rooms are perfectly reasonable as per usual Premier Inn....clean, tidy and functional. Really convenient Chef and Brewer pub within 10 yards which served good food. Hotel position next to fields on one side but quite noisy road on the other. Best to ask for a room with high number if you want a bit...

This is a lovely Premier inn comfortable and quiet with a lovely pub Mundy Arms. We have stayed here quite a few times due to the location which is handy for us and family. This stay was just as nice but the Hotel rooms are now pretty tired compared to what they use to be, but the prices have stayed...

I booked this online expecting stereotypical accommodation. This is a real gem of a hotel, an old coachhouse and stables converted into single storey accommodation bursting with charm but not lacking in any way in mod cons. The old pub (coachhouse) is characterful and welcoming and the food is superb. We had the curry and it was the best we've...

unusual setting,in converted stables . in the heart of the countryside, yet only a few minutes from Derby town centre. Very friendly attached pub and restaurant..really good English food.. I too would recommend the belly pork..delicious!!. only gripe was the bed..kingsize,but not the usual premier inn standard mattress...Lenny Henry would struggle to sleep through a party!!

Everything was good - Food was excellent - Shirley especially recommends the Belly Pork. Breakfast kept us going all day.. The room was comfortable, we had no problems with noise from next door and we found the bed comfortable

We were particularly impressed with the night receptionist who went out of his way to help us when we lost our car keys. The hotel is in a pleasant locality and the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Only major problem was noisy bathroom fan - as we were only staying one night it did not bother us too much....

Well outfitted rooms in blocks of two in what look like converted stables. Comfortable rooms with all the facilities expected. Glad Premier now have free wi-fi. Adjacent pub provided comprehensive breakfast. Definitely recommended for anyone visiting the area. Only small downside, as others have mentioned, is that when the occupants of the other room in the block of two come...
