Full marks for two things: a) Absolutely, ridiculously gorgeous views from the breakfast area, in the backdrop of lush green landscape and the valley/mountains. b) Scrumptious breakfast each day with lots of variety to start the day with a great note. Unfortunately my room location was not good. It was noisy till late at night. And, it is in such a place that everything is visible from outside. Who ever is passing by can see inside. No privacy at all. They definitely need to have some curtains or something there. Secondly, there has to be a common place in the facility, where they need to keep a coffee pot or kiosk or something, for a quick coffee, and a drinking water place. Else, the price doesn't justify for the great views only, as there are other facilities available in the area with great price for sure. Carefully select your room while booking, if that option is available. I got screwed big time. And, I did contact hotel for the room with views. But the response was abysmally poor to start with. Outright rejected by staff. That definitely put a bad taste even when the journey was not started. I immediately thought of cancelling, but even that option was not there at booking site unfortunately.…
My stay here has been amazing!! From the moment I walked in, the staff have been incredibly kind and helpful. They provided coffee while I waited for my room to be ready. My room is gorgeous with a beautiful view and comfortable bed. Squeaky clean, too! Breakfast was delicious and made to order. It’s a quick walk to town and staff is happy to help with any and everything. The cleaning team are doing a great job with the COVID needs and went above and beyond while cleaning my room (they folded my clothes I’d laid out and put them in the armoire, even my socks!). Also, small but important: the hair dryers are new and actually work - no crappy 90s wall dryer that barely works! The hotel is great on its own but the view takes it to another level! Worth every penny!!
We stayed three nights at the Hotel El Mirador del Cocora. The hotel itself was just lovely which wonderful views of the valley from our room and from the patios used for eating breakfast. The rooms were clean and spacious and the breakfast was very good. You were able to get made to order omelets in addition to waffles, fruits, cheeses and breads. The staff was pleasant but not overly friendly. The hotel is uphill from the main town so be prepared to climb!
The hotel was great. Perfect price-quality. The view is absolutely stunning from the terrace where you have breakfast as well as from the room. The breakfast is all you need. They make all kinds of eggs for you, fresh fruits and juices, and something sweet.
I stayed here for three nights and truly enjoyed everything about it. The welcome from Luis was great (he speaks perfect English having lived in London for many years) and the level of cleanliness was perfect. They helped me with taxis and tours and everything else I needed. The view from the hotel is mind blowing and the breakfast area is sublime - good food too. You are a 3-4 minute walk into the main town area. It’s a very small place so nothing is far away. Make sure you get room 202 (HABITACIÓN BALCÓN DEL QUINDÍO) as it has an amazing balcony with a hot tub for two people and a view out to the scenery. Highly recommended.
