Located conveniently close to the airport, the Premier Inn London Stansted Airport hotel is a favorite for its 24/7 shuttle service, making it a hit among guests flying in or out. While some guests have called out noise disturbances, many have enjoyed peaceful stays. The hotel's amenities, including comfortable beds and modern bathrooms, are widely appreciated, though the Wi-Fi receives mixed reviews. The atmosphere is often described as welcoming, with clean and modern rooms. However, opinions on value are split due to high parking fees and Wi-Fi charges, despite generally reasonable room rates. Service is typically friendly and efficient, with a few reports of less satisfactory experiences.

On arrival after easily finding a parking space we were welcomed by Danielle on reception whom advised us of the breakfast start time and clearly advised of our room location. The room was spotless and welcoming with tea and coffee provided a wall mounted TV and well appointed bathroom. A great start to a holiday flying from Stansted.

Be sure to book breakfast as can be very busy.
We also found out on arrival at the airport that there is a bus regularly from airport to hotel for £4 per adult. Very handy. All staff were very welcoming. Only giving a 4/5 rating due to the confusing over breakfast. Reception say just turn up in the morning and pay, the restaurant staff were not happy because it was a particular busy morning.

I stayed for few hours at the premiere Inn in Stansted in order to catch an early flight and my stay was much better than i expected. Check in was smooth and quick (we had a problem with self check in first but then the guy at the reception help us and checked us in in few seconds). We found some nescafe, tea and milk cups at the reception which gave ( the milk) a boost to our tired kids and then we found some more in the room with a kettle , two mugs and two cups. The bedroom was spacious and the beds comfortable. The bathroom was large as well with a big bath where the kids enjoyed a relaxing and regenerating warm bath ( which is what you want after getting wet walking in the rain).
I enjoyed staying at Premier Inn even if for a short time, the price was very competitive and the ride to the airport with the provided shuttle (adults pay 4 pounds while kids ride for free) was short even if crowded. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes. Overall i will go back again.

We have stayed in many Premier Inns, which are our preferred hotel group when travelling in the UK. While the standards at the Premier Inn Stansted were acceptable, they did not match the usual high standards we have come to expect. Before detailing the issues, here are some positive aspects of the Premier Inn Stansted.

Upon arrival, we were able to check in early, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was laid out exactly as we needed it and was clean and fresh. The location is convenient, being within ten minutes of the airport, with regular coaches available. The food in the restaurant was nice, though the portions were small and rather expensive for what was provided.

However, there were some negative aspects of our stay, primarily concerning the WiFi, noise, and a lack of understanding regarding allergens in the restaurant. Our phones could only get Edge (no 4G or even 3G). This is not the hotel's fault but to note that the mobile phone network in the area is awful. As a result, we had to rely on the hotel WiFi, which was patchy. We didn't pay for the ultimate WiFi so that may have been better. Additionally, although not directly the hotel's responsibility, we could hear children and adults running around until nearly midnight, and the thin walls meant we were woken by crying children at 6:30. Thicker walls or non-adjoining rooms might alleviate these issues.

The most significant concern was the lack of knowledge about food allergens. The menu did not provide any allergen details, yet it listed meals suitable for vegans. In our case, we had a coeliac who could not have gluten. There was a QR code for a gluten free menu but with no mobile data and a patchy WiFi, this was not accessible. A staff member had to use their personal mobile to access it. We selected cheesecake from the GF menu, however, a member of the kitchen staff informed us that the cheesecake contained gluten and mentioned buckwheat, stating that it was unsuitable for coeliacs. Buckwheat contains no gluten and cheesecake was on the gluten free menu so this is confusing. Overall, the restaurant needs to improve how it handles allergens and ensure all allergen information is included against each menu item on the main menu as it is in almost all restuarants across Ireland and the UK.

My friends and I were most impressed with Giovanna, a restaurant assistant. She was extremely helpful and attentive during breakfast. This Premier Inn is very well organised and the location is perfect for an overnight stay prior to flying out or on your return.

I've now stayed at the Radisson Blu, Hampton by Hilton & the Premier Inn & out of all three, would happily choose Premier Inn again with Hilton being a close second. I booked 3 rooms at the Premier Inn for 6 adults & 2 toddlers. Rooms were clean, spacious, beds were comfy & rooms had all facilities required for an overnight stay. Overall, good value for money. The 2 rooms for those with toddlers were already made-up with cots which was super handy as we arrived close to bedtime. Plenty of car parking spaces with cameras dotted around so felt safe & secure. Only downside is that parking is about £15 so feel it's quite expensive but worth it for convenience & still ended up spending less than what we would have spent at Hilton or Radisson. There is also a regular shuttle that stops right outside the hotel with a petrol station & a McDonalds just over the road. We had also opted for Meet&Greet parking at the airport which was about a 5min drive from the hotel so super easy to get to.

We stayed for one night before our flights and one night on our return.
Check-in was quick and friendly.
We opted for a Premier PLUS room on the 3rd floor, and I think it was worth the extra cost.
Great, cosy decor, comfortable armchairs, and a big, comfortable bed.
The room was spotlessly clean, nice extra touches like a Nepresso Coffee machine, and good quality tea bags. There was bottled water in the fridge, even a couple of lovely chocolates.
The shower in the bathroom worked really well, and I liked the ambient pink lighting in the bathroom, which meant you didn't wake up your partner in the middle of the night by switching on the light.
Really good value for money and a relaxing start to our trip.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Premier Inn London Stansted Airport. From the moment we arrived, the staff Kostas and Michelle as friendly and welcoming, making check-in quick and easy.

The family room was spacious, spotless, and super comfortable. Despite being near the airport, the hotel was mostly quiet, allowing us to relax before our flight.

We loved the breakfast at the restaurant, which had a great variety of hot and cold options—pancakes, bacon, pastries, and fresh coffee. Dinner was equally delicious, with something for everyone.

The shuttle service made getting to the airport stress-free, running frequently at an affordable price. Parking was also convenient for those driving.

Overall, Premier Inn Stansted is an excellent choice for families. It’s clean, comfortable, and well-located with great service. We’ll definitely stay here again!

Highly Recommended!

The premier plus room I booked was not up to the usual standard bed was too short and also not wide enough, pillows all bumpy and felt like wafers, check in was an awful experience, 2 girls on reception were very rude, 1 eating chicken and talking with her mouth full & sarcastically smirking, the other Grace I think she is called was just downright rude and didn't even take the time to explain to me where my room was or direct me to which way/floor to go too, extremely disappointing. We got the meal deal and the meal in the evening was diabolical, I got fish an chips my partner got the steak, my fish was bland, tasteless and overcooked my partners steak was extremely fatty and very chewy, no vinegar condiment which is a must on your chips, service was poor, confusing as well as server must have been new and had no confidence or any knowledge of what she was doing. Highlight was the breakfast though for us plenty on offer but for us Giouvanna made it more pleasant by her extremely helpful, smiley chatty nature, bright and positive. Great person to greet you when you wake 1st thing of the morning and after having such a bad experience so Well done to her 😁

You will just have any breakfast options at that time of Morning . You will have to use the delights of the airport.

As Gary says above, it can be walked. There are a number of places you have to cross streets and a traffic circle or two but light traffic. There also may be a walkway (sky) as part of airport that may get you there part way under a covered walkway. I just walked along the street. Getting food was an issue unless you are good with restaurants at the hotels.
