We had passed Mary Deeney's on our way to our hotel when we recently stayed in Donegal & thought it looked like a lovely place to go. We decided on our 3rd night we'd drive to try the food out. We were staying close by and drove past Mary Deeney's bar and restaurant whilst out for a drive. It seemed like the only open and welcoming place on the road so we doubled back and stopped. Inside is an open fire and an extensive menu and very welcoming staff. The food was fantastic, the service was wonderful and the atmosphere...

We drove off the ferry at MacGilligan's Point looking for somewhere to have lunch since we'd left Belfast that morning.The thatched roof caught our attention as we passed this restaurant so we doubled back and were so glad we did.
