We stayed in Glenlowren Cottage for 3 nights. The cottage overlooks a dam and is surrounded by fields and hills. It has been thoughtfully supplied with everything you could need, including a laundry. There are fresh eggs to cook for breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen. The serenity and beautiful views make Glenlowren an easy place to relax in and a hard place to leave. Yarra Valley wineries are a short drive away. Highly recommended.

We spent 2 magical nights at Glenlowren in the Nissen Hut. We have stayed in many places all over the world and also Australia but have never stayed in any accommodation anywhere that is as beautiful as the Nissen Hut. The attention to detail on style and comfort is just next level. Everything has been though of and is of such high quality, from the furnishings, the sound system, the wonderful books they have provided to read, the log fireplace (which was already burning when we arrived), the fully equipped kitchen and laundry, the heated floor in the bathrooms, candles scattered throughout the hut, and the beautiful ingredients provided for breakfast. Outside the hut is just as stunning, with a table setting facing a lake at the back door, and beautiful gardens surrounding all sides of the Nissen Hut. The farm itself is also wonderful with stunning views everywhere, beautifully maintained and all we could hear was the sounds of birds and cows. The vibe at Glenlowren is peaceful and pure serenity, we didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back.

The Nissen Hut is an amazing place to stay. The hut contains everything you could want/need. Immaculately clean, gorgeous furnishings and wonderful outlook. Located in a nicely private setting with stunning flora to provide superb views whether you are inside or out. Travelling in April the trees had some gorgeous colours. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and little baby just stayed 2 nights at Glenlowren. We had the most wonderful time. The land that the cottage is situated on is so well kept, the cottage itself is beautiful! So clean and has so much charm and character. Our little babe is crawling, so staying at a property that is safe and clean is so important and Glenlowren had this in spades. Little miss was able to explore and really enjoy herself too! There is a large window in the lounge overlooking the fields and cows came up to the fence, our little girl loved it. An incredibly functional kitchen that has been stocked with local produce (fresh milk, juice, eggs, tomatoes, honey and more). A huge bathroom with spa bath and large shower and a really well sized bedroom with luxurious bed sheets and a stunning view of the lake. So picturesque and beautiful. We spent time outside on our picnic rug soaking up the views and then walked around the property. We saw chickens, cows, sheep and horses (amazing!), we frolicked through the gardens as there are so many beautiful trees and flowers and then through the owners veggie patch. So incredibly cool. The property is so close to everything the Yarra Valley has to offer! We went to the Yarra Valley Dairy, Healesville Sanctuary, a number of wineries for lunch and dinner. We had such a special time. Thank you to the owners for having us, we would highly recommend and will be organising not only to stay again but for family to stay too! Take Care! Stacey, Ryan and Charlee

I feel very fortunate that my first escape from lockdown was two nights in the Nissen Hut at Glenlowren. The Hut was perfect with great attention to detail . Delicious breakfast was provided and the outlook from every window was beautiful. I hope to one day return. Thank you Glenlowren for a wonderful getaway.

I stayed there for one night after having a lunch at a local winery. Glenlowren is off the main road by approximately 2 kilometers, and that is part of its charm. As you drive through the working farm, the feeling strikes that you could be anywhere in the country. Far away from the maddening crowd especially while this insidious Corona Virus news infiltrates our every thought. The owners are very quiet people, reflective of the whole establishment. Lots of privacy and scenery. Our cottage was extremely tastefully decorated and everything seemed to be in the right place. Cutlery for example was high end, the orange juice was fresh, the milk in small GLASS bottles and even the area out front had been newly raked removing traces of past foot traffic. I booked through QANTAS and subsequently was granted points as well. I would highly recommend Glenlowren for a weekend stay.

My husband and I spent one night in the Garden Suite as we had a wedding in the Yarra Valley. The booking process was very straightforward and the information on the website clear and accurate. On arrival we noticed the freshly cut flowers and everything was clean and well set up. The breakfast provisions were generous, and we were given an option prior to arrival to advise if we had any particular dietary requirements. Due to the changeability of the weather... we got to use both the heater and cooling function of the air conditioning - both worked very well. We found the suite really comfortable, spacious, peaceful and quiet. There was a lovely attention to detail, including a night light in the bathroom and even a lemon juicer in the kitchen. The aspect through the front window was delightful - well tended garden. Thanks Tinne

This must be the most luxurious converted cowshed in the world! The attention to detail is amazing. The Nissen Hut is not only beautiful, but practical, homely and with wonderful features such as the wood burning stove, an Ipod preloaded with playlists to suit all tastes. The acoustics when playing this music have to be heard to be believed. Tinne and Pieter are terrific hosts supplying us with breakfasts including fresh farm produce from their property. Four of us stayed for a week and found the whole area very picturesque and managed to take in quite a number of superb restaurants attached to the many wineries in the area. We could not speak more highly of Glenlowren.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at the Glenlowren Nissen Hut. We are delighted to hear that you did not only enjoy the accommodation and its picturesque environment, but also the many wineries and restaurants in the area. We are certainly lucky to live in a region where we are spoilt for choice in that regards. We very much valued your warm, sincere and joyful demeanour and sincerely hope to welcome you back in the not too distant future. All the best, Pieter and Tinne

My partner and I stayed in the Nissen Hut for a winter weekend away. We were greeted by Tinne, her husband and their two gorgeous dogs. After showing us in they left us to enjoy the fire they had lit to warm the house for our arrival. In the evening we enjoyed the view along with some local cheeses and wines as well as the complimentary glass of port that was left for us. There was everything you could want left for breakfast (fresh eggs, bacon, sausages, croissants, milk, orange juice - to name a few!) On Sunday we ventured out to one of the many local wineries and came back to cook dinner in the well equipped kitchen with meat from the neighbouring farm. All of the finer details were clearly thought of by our hosts and overall is was an enjoyable and relaxing weekend and I highly recommend staying here. Thank you, Tinne, for your hospitality!

Glenlowren is a working farm with luxury accommodation strategically placed to maximise the magnificent views across rolling green hills, vineyards, dams with water birds galore, sheep, cattle and Fabio the enormous bull. There are a number of options but we chose the cottage, beautifully restored with a full kitchen, laundry, living area, magnificent bathroom with spa and the bedroom opened onto a deck with views over the dam. Bed linen and towels were of the highest quality as was everything else. It is a couples only venue. Breakfast was included but we didn't manage to get through it all as the quantities were so generous. Our hosts were welcoming and friendly.
