Detailed Reviews
We’ve just returned from 5 nights at Southern Stars. We booked an unpowered pet enclosed site, which is a great idea, as our pooch didn’t have to be on a lead for long periods.
We were met by hosts Nat and Todd on arrival, and their dog Doug. All through our stay we found anat and Todd to be super friendly and helpful hosts.
Our grassed site was very spacious, close to the amenities of the park.
I always found the ablutions and other amenities to be very clean.
During busy periods various food trucks come in throughout the week, which is nice to be able to order a burger, pizza or baked spud.
There is a kids playground, flying fox, bike track, lots of room to ride bikes. There’s an inflatable water slide in busy periods for a small fee I think.
The park is well located to many breweries and wineries. Dunsborough and Busselton town centres are an easy drive away also. Also a few dog beaches nearby,
The park is still relatively new, Todd and Nat have done an amazing job with it. We will definitely stay again in the future.

Booked four nights and stayed two weeks, that says a lot for me.
A thoroughly relaxing caravan park, and we were there on a fully booked labour day weekend early March. The owners have put a lot of emphasis into the planning and layout of this park, sites of various sizes and facilities to suit basically all needs for different caravan and camping requirements in a friendly and safe location within five to seven minutes of two excellent shopping and service areas around the communities of Vasse and Dunsborough in the South West region of WA, I suggest that those who live near Perth know this region well but for those from the Eastern States this should be your central location to tour the localities and vineyards around the areas from here to Margaret River and all the way south to Augusta which can all be considered as 30 minute up to 90 minute trips in a vehicle along very good roads which surround this location.
If you enjoy peace and quiet with beaches nearby and excellent eating establishments this is the most central location to base oneself for convenience and friendly service from the owners and staff who manage and work here.
Facilities are all near new and kept in first class condition by the staff who take pride in their work as can be seen in their enthusiasm when you chat to them, a fact made obvious from the moment you check in as they will escort and assist you to your location, Doug tends to be a bit of a showman, you will meet and hear him on your arrival, happy holidays.

We think we have found a gem in the Busselton/Dunsborough area. Right from the time we arrived everything was great. Super friendly staff including Todd and Derek with their awesome 4 legged mate who escorted us to our site and got us positioned properly. Fantastic huge camp kitchen and lounge, kids play area, space galore and quiet as. Dogs are welcome, we don't take ours on holiday (nobody would thank us for that) but for those who do you can have them on your site or you can have a fully fenced in site so they can be off leash, awesome and no we didn't hear dogs barking all the time (unlike at home). You can be in Dunsborough or Busselton or Yallingup within 15 mins and although there are no restaurants or bars on your doorstep, there are food trucks and a French patisserie van which come to visit. The ablutions are combo shoer/toilet units, always clean although sometimes a bit wet. My only slight whinge would be that if you found yourself bustin at 'shower the kids o'clock' you could have a bit of a wait, but, it was never really a problem for us, but I'm guessing this is only a problem at busy times. Best thing about this place (apart from the people) was the grass. Cool, green, lush grass. Beautifully maintained and fantastic between your toes. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely loved Southern Stars Holiday Park and so did our dogs. We got a fenced site as it was the first time we had taken our youngest dog away. It was perfect, plenty of space for them and they have a fenced off paddock for them to run off lead. The caravan park is so well kept beautiful grassy green sites and the abolution blocks are ensuite style and immaculate. The camp kitchen is huge and again immaculate, there is plenty of stuff for kids to do. The location is fantastic close to some beautiful beaches, wineries and Breweries we loved it and will definitely come again

+1
Stayed for a couple of nights in a fenced powered site. These fenced sites are a brilliant idea if you are travelling with dogs. Plenty of room for your furry friends to run around. Expansive grassed areas. Ablution blocks are spotless with individual bathrooms (shower, toilet and vanity) so heaps of room without having to squish in to a single shower cubicle. Super friendly staff. Awesome camp kitchen and lounge area. Communal fire pit every night. Short drive to the beach / Dunsborough / Busselton. Very quiet (except for a few baaing sheep). Loved it - Will stay again.

What a great concept of having sites that are fenced so you can take your dog and not have to have them tied up. The staff here are so friendly and helpful. The property is well laid out and the camp kitchen/games/lounge area is the best. It even comes with a big screen tv. There’s also a dump point on site. The ablution block has a wheelchair ramp. Each cubicle has a toilet and shower. There is a wheelchair accessible shower at one end but all of the toilets are wheelchair accessible.

Caravan club meet-up
This Park is one of the most pristine and well-kept parks I have been in. The toilets are huge ensuites that would easily fit a family of 4 to organize and get the kids showered etc.
The grounds are all grassed and are kept in as green as possible in are harsh summer weather and there are dog friendly sites that are fenced so your dog can move around =. dogs are welcome on any camp site.
The camp kitchen and Games entertainment rooms are enormous and well suited for group gatherings. there is a well-equipped play area for the kids as well.
The CP is also close to Vasse shopping Centre and of course the Margret River region without all the crowds.

We stayed at this park for 10 nights in March, we travel with our dog and this park is very welcoming to your well behaved pet. There are fenced sites for you to use if you wish to let your pet run free on your block, there is also a special field for exercising your pet. There is also caravan areas for people without pets and we have found this works well as some people don't want pets near them. The facilities are very new, clean and spacious, each unit is a separate bathroom with shower and toilet, which is great. The park is a little distance from the main caves road and the other parks but this makes it nice and extremely quiet, its caravanning in the country but not to far from all the beaches and facilities of both Dunsborough and Busselton. The park is a family run business and the genuine welcome you receive on arrival is very refreshing, they also provide assisted parking for you and your van, i highly recommend this park for your holidays in this area.

Could this holiday park be any cleaner and greener! 20 acres of manicured lush lawns, the most amazing and clean ensuite amenties (they are for everyone), the most spacious camp kitchen and separate lounge area. Live music, food vans, wine tasting.....what's not to love. No pool here, no bouncy pillow but an outdoor play area almost designed specifically for kids to interact and make friends. FANTASTIC!! Pet friendly (and all dogs are on leads, non barking and cleaned up after by their owners)
Would be the best park I have stayed in around Australia.

The Park was exceptional, a family owned and run park, only 5 years old , new facilities. tucked away from traffic noise, , very peaceful, lots of grassed areas and play equipment for the kids. Lots of open grassed areas and flying fox, common kitchen with free bbq,s .
Toilet and showers were perfect. Hot water, cleaned after everyuse.
At night we shared stories with other Nomads and the park owner Geof joined us for a wine or three around the firepit.
Will definatley be returning to this park.
only 5 minutes from town,
If you appreciate the efforts of a proud park owner, who provides a very well maintained holiday park, Southern Stars is your first choice in Dunsbourough. Great value for money.
Also noted new 1 Bed challets being built for those without vans.
Thanks Geof for a great 3 day stay.
