The warm welcoming from the receptionist was the beginning of an astounding visit to the Agnadi Hotel in Rovies , Evia Island , Greece. George Petrakos , the owner , greets all his guests with an open hearted gesture and even before signing in will kindly offer you a drink of your choice from the bar. A short while later he will have someone take your luggage to your room and he will escort you there yourself as he already knows you will have a surprise in store . As he opens the door you cannot but be taken aback by the sheer luxury and eye for detail the family run hotel have put into every aspect of a magnificent set of rooms. Each room overlooks the Evia Straits flowing to the Aegean sea and with balconies so large you can fit a whole family. Colorful , bright , well flavored in design , soft soft beds and more cleanliness than any other hotel I have ever visited before. Breakfast is a must and a visit to the beautiful beach exactly opposite with tranquil and peace of mind seclusion , how else could you possible relax. I thoroughly recommend a stay at this wonderful hotel , and if you feel I am wrong about any comments , please feel free to say so. Best wishes to all . Ray McGarry

We are a young couple from Iasi, Romania. We agree with Mr Ray McGarry's review and we add that we especially enjoyed the home made breakfast, the view and the happy smiling faces of our hosts. We hope to pay them a visit next year.
Best regards,
Alice and Catalin

The hotel was basically on the beach. The room was fantastic, exceptionally clean! The breakfast was nice especially the orange marmalade, which was hand made by Mrs. Chrysoula. Would definitely recommend it.

I was impressed by the location of the hotel. Literally in the seafront and 2 minutes walking from all the comforts of the village (local tavernas, bakery, supermarket etc). Very picturesque, peaceful and clean. The owners polite , they know their area well and they suggest the best. Take their opinion if you want to go in any excursion nearby. Wonderful breakfast (totally homemade) but a bit small. Still gladly they bring more of what you ask for. I found the sea warm, the beach is pebbly, clean waters amazing swim! I am thrilled with the hotel, and although initially I found their prices a bit chilly , overall they worth every pennie. Go there and have wonderful vacations !

In July 2012 we went for the first time to Evia. We were on the way to Pelion region and intended to stay some3 days, we stayed 3 weeks… And we went back in April 2014.

We stayed in hotel Agnadi a modern white building overlooking the North Euboean Gulf. All the rooms have terraces with a splendid view of the Gulf and the snowy summits of Parnassus mountain. The rooms are nicely decored with bright colours, they have fridge and kitchenette. The bedding is of good quality.

It is a small family run hotel. It is very well kept by the Petrakos family, and they are all extremely nice. They really do everything to help their guests. The breakfast is homemade and there is a lot of variety of typical Greek food. If you want they also serve homemade food during the day. In Summer you can enjoy the sun beds in front of the hotel.

We highly recommend this hotel !

Rovies is a quiet, charming village in Northern Evia, situated at 9 kms from Limni, a picturesque small port. In Spring the island is covered with wild flowers. Evia has sea and mountains. It is an ideal place if you like authentic Greek atmosphere.

Lovely hotel, well-equipped, very friendly owners. Access is tricky, perhaps the best was is by ferry, in any case this is what we did on our way back to Athens. Greece needs more places like these, where locals genuinely welcome tourists, and offer them a generous piece of their heritage. A truly priceless gift. The only negative comment I will make is that I would prefer a buffet in the morning, instead of a served breakfast. The supermarket down the road towards Limni offers tasty food and wines; it is ran by a charming lady who kindly recommended places of interest. I would have gladly stayed longer in Rovies.

We stayed 6 nights at the hotel whilst exploring northern Evia. Our room was a junior suite, which consisted of 2 adjoining rooms, both with a bathroom (I think at one point these were 2 separate rooms). One room was the sitting room and also had a fridge and basic cooking facilities, the other, a spacious bedroom with a king sized bed. Both rooms had large balconies with a gorgeous sea view. The rooms were also air-conditioned.

Breakfast was served either in the hotel or pretty garden or on our own balcony and was different every day. It consisted of something sweet, something savoury (various home-made cakes and pastries), a freshly baked loaf with butter, honey and home-made jams, freshly squeezed orange and coffee (or tea). Plenty to set us up for the day. Though they don't serve evening meals, there are a few tavernas a short walk away in the village or a short drive to either Limni or Ilia.

The hotel has it's own sunbeds on the (pebble and some sand) beach, which is just across a quiet lane. The sea was crystal clear, turquoise and like a mill pond for most of the time. Whilst using the sunbeds, a member of staff would regularly check if we needed drinks and would sometimes bring a glass of iced water anyway. The staff werre all friendly and helpful and though they didn't speak a huge amount of English, it was enough to get by. I can highly recommend this hotel as a lovely base to explore northern Evia - it took arounf 2 hours 40 minutes to drive back to Athens airport.

Following on from the following review, we asked and got a hairdryer from the very friendly owners! Breakfast sent up - no extra cost, fabulous suite, great heating, real fire, great big bed - normally seaside hotels out of season in Greece can be very damp, not this one. Fantastic break away from Athens. You can hear the sea from your room, otherwise so peaceful - we are planning to come back too!

Great value for money, clean hotel, helpful staff. Would recommend to anybody staying in the north of the island. Card terminal didn't work, so we had to pay by cash and miss our cash-back, which was very pity.
