This is a very special place run, despite its impressive exterior, like a B&B. The welcome was spectacular, the hosts delightful, the food delicious and the breakfast the best I have ever been served in any hotel. Most delightful of all is the dining 'en famille' round a single table, the fascinating conversation (French essential) lubricated by a splendid array...

It was very quiet, so we felt quite lonely in the big chateau, the family room was huge so very pleased with that. Room No 1 ! Breakfast on the terrace was beautiful in wonderful grounds, breakfast was served on a huge round tray with a good selection of items. Service was ok, don't expect too much. Would go back...

Hard to find, no interest at all of the 'host'. Room is neat, but not special. Host smokes in the breakfast area. No WiFi: contrary to their promises. Speaks only French. And when checking out,he tells us: it is not possible to pay by card...only cash...only at our request we got a receipt. (after driving for 15 min to find...

Arriving at 22.30 we received a great welcome. We had a glass of wine and were treated to some delicious desserts. The breakfast was the best we got anywhere in France. While the bedroom was not luxurious, the room was very clean & comfortable, as was the bathroom. The only drawback was finding the gateway in the dark of night....

Having stayed last night in a Trogaladyte cave chambre d'hote, we were looking forward to a little luxury. Having spoken to Reinaldo to book a table d'hote meal, we were greeted with Hors D'oevres on the patio. Now then, considering two us were non drinkers, one an occasional tippler and the other a specialist, we managed to gorge down a...

Ideal location to stay with friends. Outside there are chairs and table in front of the big park. The room was nice. Unfortunately in August it was very hot and there was no air conditioning. The old wall anyway keep the room quite cool.

The idea of sleeping at a different place rather than a hotel raised the bar for this place, but I was a little bit disappointed. The owner was nice, but did not care much if we were OK or not. The room was very old and the bathroom very small. The surroundings were beautiful, as well as the building itself...

We stayed here in June 2011 while travelling through France, and loved it so much that we went back for a weekend in September 2011. We were a little worried it wouldn't be as good as we remembered, but we were greeted like old friends and if anything it was better! The chateau is beautiful and reasonably priced, and is...

Let me begin, if you actually get what you booked - then this is a great place. Everyone is friendly and the location amazing (as long as you have a car.) Beautiful surroundings and setting. Suite with 2 bedrooms + living room is excellent and good value. That is what we thought we had booked for five nights. We were...

which functions more like a sumptuous b & b. Classic French chateau in a cool green park, very handy for Chambord and other famous Loire chateaux.. I stayed here in September 2010, and liked it so much that I wanted to come back. The atmosphere is very relaxed, the young family running it is very friendly, and it`s great to...
