I stayed with Sabine & Claude in 2009 when on my way down to Barcelona with a couple of mates and when we found ourselves looking at the opportunity of staying in the Cahors region again, it was an obvious thing for me to book a night at the Mas D'Azemar. Since I stayed the last time, the bathrooms appeared...

The house was about 4 miles outside Cahors and well positioned for seeing Cahors and the Lot Valley. We stayed for 4 nights and Our hosts Sabine and Claude made us very welcome. They will provide a delicious dinner if required at a reasonable cost. Excellent breakfast is included in room rate. Lovely gardens and pool for outside relaxation.

Spent one night here, located about 10 minutes outside the old town of Cahors; lovely two storey, 250 year old manor/farmhouse with very extensive period furnishings and paintings adorning every wall. Extensive gardens with fruit trees and an outdoor swimming pool to relax around. Warm and genuinely friendly hosts who speak very good English and makes you feel really at...

Unfortunately we only spent one night here. It is an utterly delightful home and we fell in love with it. Claude and Sabine were so kind and welcoming and we shared a delicious dinner with them, meeting some really charming guests and speaking a mixture of english, french and gobbledy gook!! We loved it. We would return in a heartbeat...

Laid-back welcoming hosts. Really worth opting for the table d'hôte- food wonderful. All guests ate together at the large dining room table- the hosts too. Very convivial, great company. Guests came from a variety of European countries-and it was really interesting meeting and exchanging conversation. All of us could speak fluent French, but the hosts do speak very good English....

This beautiful 18th century home has been lovingly restored and decorated with exquisite taste by Claude and Sabine. He was a Paris photographer before, while she worked in Geneva in banking. They are perfect hosts, and it is worth taking the "table d'hôtes" option at least one night to share an aperitif and dinner with them. The rooms are large...

Having stayed with Claude and Sabine previously, we returned with friends for three nights. (We liked our experience there so much, that we planned our trip to include the b&b as a base for exploring areas around Cahors and Sarlat.) Not only are the facility and the sleeping rooms beautiful, the mid-18th century home is decorated tastefully, everything about the...

We two couples traveling together were the only guests on the night we stayed here, which gave us a special opportunity to talk with our hosts, Claude and Sabine Patrolin, who shared cocktail hour and then dined with us. Both are fluent in English and well traveled. They are happy and patient to help you learn French, and it was...

You've read those books about escaping a dreary life to start a B & B and the challenges that come with it. Here's how to do it. The Mas Azemar has an interesting history, charming hosts, excellent family style dinners and breakfasts but is all up to date and decorated in a very charming way. You'll feel very much at...

In May, 2011, we stayed here for 2 nights with another couple. The place is quite amazing and Sabine and Claude do their best to make their guests feel welcome. The place is a cross between a chateau and a museum! We had one communal dinner (12 people) and it was wonderful. The ambiance was delightful.
