Stayed in room 6 of the outside chalets. The room was spacious and well equipped. The bed was really comfy although we had to turn the fridge off overnight as it was very noisy but overall good value for money and on a warm evening you could sit outside. The pub is friendly and the food is really good. Breakfast...

This was a return visit to The Ship Inn after being rejected some months previous for asking for a sunday lunch at 1.50, cut off time then was 1.45 for last orders! We can now report that sunday lunch goes on past 2.00 and into the early evening. WELL DONE to the recent change of management for seeing sense in...

I booked into a very clean and comfortable room in a small block behind this charming Suffolk pub 2 miles from the A12. A friendly lady behind the bar confirmed my booking and then showed me the room. There was a small niggle in that one of the TV handsets didn't work, but I was still able to turn the...

Thankfully, we had satnav to get us there. After driving down some 'interesting' roads, we arrived safe and sound. What a wonderful place! Such a welcome from staff and customers alike! And the food..............! We stayed 2 nights and found the accommodation was clean and adequate for our needs - the beds were comfy and the rooms were lovely and...

Went here last Sunday for a roast dinner. Unfortunately that day there was some weird act on. I initially thought "oh God, Morris dancers" but no it was much worse. Men dressed in some sort of oldy worldy nonsense. A jester, King Arthur and at least 2 men dressed as women. They all appeared to enjoy wearing tights, drinking out...

Lots of things I liked about The Ship Inn with a few little niggles that let it down. We stayed 2 nights in room no. 2. The location is rural & you felt the pub was the hub of the village which was nice but parking could be a problem. We were checked in quickly but with not much info...

Nothing particularly special about this accommodation hence 3 stars. Bathroom not very large and pretty functional. Fridge is a nice idea Website say rooms are refurbished, if they are then they must have been poor before as nothing special and oh of course curtain or rather a roller blind that doesn't do much to stop all light coming in

This place is amazing. There are not many little traditional country pubs remaining now so we need to support this one! Staff are so friendly, there is a lovely selection of ales to choose from and the food...well it was fabulous. Definitely going back 😊

The Ship Inn is somewhat difficult to find as it is situated on the outskirts of the small village, with several narrow country roads approaching it from different directions. On our arrival, our welcome was somewhat muted and in contrast to previous reports which have enthused about the managements helpful greeting. We were shown to our room number two, which...
